We’ve been pretty dead for the last week or so, the month is looking OK though as the few bikes we have sold have contained a few spendy custom MTB builds and a posh road bike or two.

Why not just wait till your chain and cassette are worn and change to 10spd anyway for not much more cost and a lot less hassle.

Aside from the supporting communism thing…

I think the point is brands in the UK/USA whatever spend money, time and expertise designing testing and creating new innovative products. Then find a manufacturer in China to make it in bulk.

If said Chinese factory then just rip the designs off and sell them direct to punters then the companies who spent all the time and effort designing these new things go bust and there are no companies left to design new products to be ripped off by China and all the innovation stops.

Formula brakes come with really light rotors….

…that are too thin and always end up wavy

Worst rear tyre I have used… Loved the CM as has unbelievable grip and really big volume.

Smorg just seemed like it was squirming sideways all the time and had to run way too much pressure before this stopped. Would much rather spend the extra tenner and use a specialised purgatory.

They are 6806-2RS bearings nothing bike specific, so I would just pick some decent ones up from a local bearing supplier.

Care less about strava and it doesn’t matter?

Why not go to a shop and sit on some.

As far as I know 170mm is the Max in 650b

Just keep running the old chain and cassette and then replace the lot when it stops working.

Although you may have ruined the new chain by now.

1×11 is awesome. Gone 3×9 to 1×10 and I struggled in places. But 1×11 doesn’t feel like a compromise like 1×10 it is just enough of what you need.

Well my neighbour has 4 bikes unlocked in the same garden so thought I made mine a hard enough target but obviously he knows something I don’t…

    Duffryn unfortunately.

This brings my stats to 50% of the bikes I have owned have been stolen.

Seen a few of them with snapped chainstays even one someone swore was only ever ridden on a road from new.

Would look for something else personally

I rode one 200m down a road and had at least 10 comments/stares…

I spend half my day explaining what they are when people walk in the shop.

Link doesn’t work. But are you sure you want to buy a bike from Germany meaning there is no shop to take it back to if you have any issues, after what happened with your cube?

    They are 2015 bikes so…

Sounds like a great opportunity as others have said. You can do what you want or at least have a break/go part time to spend some time with the kids etc.

Along with the tradition of recommending what you have.

I would suggest the whyte G150s. Similar spec and yes it is more expensive but it is tested and designed in the UK for the stuff we ride. Also you can get it from a shop and support the UK bike industry.

(I have ridden last years spectral + many other bikes in this category)

Are you sure they were coppers? Did they happen to ask your address and what bikes you have ? 😉

or just run your fork a little softer.

    I’ve just got a whye G150s

Reason I bought it as is still really good value but a UK company and designed in this country and they actually test them here and have loads of mud clearance etc.

Also free frame bearing replacements and 4 years on the frame is pretty good to me.

and last but not least it rides brilliantly, I work in a bike shop and am lucky enough get to ride lots of bikes and there is just something about certain brands that just seem to be able to build a bike that rides better than others despite the spec maybe being lower etc

I’m a size 12 in most shoes and my 5:10’s are size 12 and they fit fine (think they are 47 in euros)

I have guide R brakes on my new bike and as above I almost had a pair of shimanos on order to replace them before I had tried them due to thinking I would hate them. But they are actually great and have a much nicer lever feel than older avids (even last years trail xo) plenty of power and not as grabby as say an xt, but not sure if I would pick them over Zee’s if buying new aftermarket but not changing them on my bike for now anyway.

Ask them if that 20% has to be for a specialized.

    Of course it does.

Tip, buy the unflavored whey from my protein (as it is cheaper and has higher protein content) then get the flavour drops (a bottle lasts forever) and you get more for your money and still good taste.

I’m 5′ 8 1/2″ and riding a medium. I do prefer bikes on the longer side though and the reverb is 90% into the frame.

Not sure yet. Will probably rode cwmcarn on it on the weekend.

Yes it handled great and is super stable with such a long wheelbase. I only really ride reds and blues there so can’t comment much on it on super gnar stuff.

Also my post above is supposed to say wallowy not willowy…(not sure a shock can feel willowy…)
