Had a pretty good run recently loads of really nice customers old and new. But a few weeks ago someone did something which I haven’t quite figured out yet.

Comes in and tries on an item of clothing, asks if we price match to which I say “I will try my best” then he left the shop.

Comes back later the same day and shows me said item of clothing at half the price we are selling it for (already £15 below rrp) on a large online retailers website on his phone. So I do the usual thing and check on our PC to make sure it is the same item and in stock on the other website.

When I searched it came up at the exact same price as we are selling it on the website he showed me. He then wouldn’t show me his phone. When I said can I see it again and just paid for it and left. So I’m not sire but think he might have edited a screen shot or something to try and get me to price match a made up price… Which would not have happens as would have been about a 20% loss on the item anyway.

Left over lasagne in some bread was one of my better experiments.

I tried one and couldn’t even finish it, was a tasteless price of meat with about 10 litres of BBQ sauce… ,(and I’m certainly no McDonald’s snob)

Depends on size in my experience, I rounded two of my Allen keys the other day trying to undo a shimano pedal and the bolt was still fine. Whereas I have rounded a few <3mm bolts over the years ( admittedly not usually bike stuff)

Just ordered the shotgun from millets cheers for the tip was £15 inc postage and is £22 everywhere else.

I am currently trying to make my rifle more accurate so I can pick the kids off at distance because the kids outnumber me.

My head is about 62 and usually always a large/XL and I can just about squeeze a medium on my head (large is still the right size) so they do seem a bit big but you need to go try one on.

Fit some people fine as the lid but don’t with the chinguard on.

Kid gets expensive games console for Christmas and say it is his worst Christmas ever.

I would be embarrassed if my kid said that not go on the news to tell everyone about it.

New epic or Whyte M109 would be my choices.

Endura single track trousers. Nice to ride in and sort of softshell so not waterproof but keeps the wind and most of the wet off

Thanks for the suggestions bit it has a built in clamp so that won’t work and the post lock is a no go because it doesn’t come in the right size.

Where abouts is he? Know a shop selling an ex demo yeti SB75 in medium (X01 pikes etc £5k build)for £2300 in Newport.

Why? Might as well fit the proper parts if spending that much on a frame.

Performance schwalbe tyres don’t work… Just like conti non-black chilli tyres stuck to the decent ranges.

Wasn’t there a whole thing about tk Max selling stuff at supposedly massive discounts but in fact you can’t get the same stuff anywhere else…

So £100 for a jacket with an rrp of £250 seams like a great deal but in reality it is only a £100 jacket. Not sure if SP doing the same thing though.

Went go karting which was a good laugh, only 5 off us work in the shop so a few lads from mojo came to top up the numbers (and belittle my driving skills…)

As a few above have said the spesh tactic is good bought one as a cheap replacement for my smashed giro feature and it surprisingly good. Got a bell super 2R MIPS on order so the spesh will be the backup when that arrives…

But all this is useless unless you try them on so go buy one from a shop where you can see how it fits.

Not up there with some of the beauties in this thread but my dad recently gave me his early 90’s Raleigh Amazon (hand built in Nottingham).

Remarkably it pretty much all still works just tightened the wheel cones and put a new chain and cassette on it. Have changed the bars for some horrible looking but really comfy Oxford ones and I’m in the process* of fitting full mud guards as it is now my full time commuter/shop/pub bike. Will get some pics up when it is finished.

    * still in the process due to a bolt snapping in the eylet…

Hard to say but I’m pretty sure all the 26″ ones were sold out around that time as they launched the 650b model in may but we still have some 2014 29ers. Just luck really whether lots of people your size buy the same bike. I would just pay the deposit (or wait for the 2016 model).

The strada is a bit industrial but looks very pretty up close and rides quite nice. I’ve only had a quick spin but know someone who borrowed one for a long journey and fell in love even though it was totally the wrong bike for where they were going.

I only borrowed one for a while rather than owned one but I had it running at well over the recommended pressure before it was OK.

Look at the bearing that is in it now and see which one it is and buy one of those?
