It blows through the rear travel way to easily but feels OK geo wise but just feels like there should be more travel there… Not that light either.

Used one a few times but wouldn’t buy one.

sale of goods act allows the customer, within the first 6 months, to choose refund, repair or replace unless a repair is more expensive than a refund or replacement.

Care to back that up with any sources?

As far as I know six months is just the border between the retailer having to prove it was ok at the time of sale and you having to claim it wasn’t.

Most recommendations are that you have only a few weeks to reject the item, if they agree to repair the item then I don’t really think you have much of a leg to stand on as that is within the rules.

Just a simple “as of (date) I resign” type thing then do F-all for the next few days and your boss just tells you to pack you things and he will pay your months notice was my experience…

How are on earth are you filling a wheely bin in a week? Do you recycle anything? Ours is about 1/4 full in two weeks. We often don’t bother putting it out.

erm well because it is a tiny one… that is the point.

All food waste and carboard plastic glass etc goes in seperate recycling boxes.

I am already seeing a lot more fly tipping around here, without warning they swapped everyone’s wheelie bins for ones half the size, We now fill this in a week and it gets collected every other (was fine with the bigger bin) So I have to make at least 2 trips to the tip every fortnight.

Then when you get there you get

“what have you got in the car?
    “4 black bags”
“i’m only supposed to let you bring 3”

    then next time
“what have you got in the car?
    “2 black bags”
“why did you come all the way here just for 2 bags?”

    🙄

As annoying as it is that your frame broke as above I very much doubt anything would come of trying to claim for the garmin, firstly It would be hard to prove that the frame cracking actually caused the garmin to get broken, not that you crashed and broke your frame and garmin…

But from experience cube will probably replace the frame.

I was riding some old raleigh BMX when I was about 8 racing my cousin looked back at him and ploughed into the back of a parked tipper lorry, almost impaling myself on the handle of a big latch sticking out of the back, luckily it just skimmed the top of my head… still a lot of blood though.

About 95% of my minimum wage goes straight out on bills, the rest is for my lunch and petrol money, all food is bought with the tax credits the missus gets.

    I do have a nice bike though…

Frog bikes for my kids, they are light and decent price. Not bothered about resale as they are scratched and chucked around anyway so don’t really want to think what I will get on eBay because my kid just crashed it.

I live in the west of Newport and cycled to Langstone business park everyday for a while, it’s not too bad much better to stick to the cycle path along the SDR than the road itself.

I’ve lived in Newport all my life, good parts and bad parts but overall it’s not that bad and I think it is getting better.

Plus you get the added bonus of me serving you in your new LBS 😉

I hit 40mph on the way home most days, on a 90’s Raleigh MTB with almost completely useless canti brakes gets a bit scary when cars pull out on you

Shouldn’t make a difference as that is just down to the set up of the mech, doesn’t really know what cassette you have.

    Not tried it though…

I sell both, both have their issues but to put it this way…

Most recent reverb return- send off and customer gets a new one in the post the same week.

Most recent Lev return – send it off and wait over 2 weeks to get back then after 2 rides customer says it is worse than it was before was sent off.

And I prefer the reverb when it is working too.

I had a similar dilemma, use a bobike seat on my old Raleigh MTB, was thinking of a drop bar replacement but figured out I would never have the room for the kids seat and don’t really like rear mounted ones.

Not sure which version it was by worked on a PX road frame that was so flexy you could make the tyre touch the chainstay just by putting pressure on one of the pedals… So that put me off them a bit.

But does it stop you crashing when a wasp is attacking your noggin?
The SRSLY and MTFU crew have obviously never experienced this. Presumably they don’t actually ride their bikes.

Just stop take helmet off get rid of wasp and carry on, no need for crashing. I’ve been stung by plenty of critters and none are pleasant but it is not that bad.

Yeah, essentially people get annoyed at people getting money on benefits when actually the people who get them don’t even get enough to get buy without relying on charity in a lot of cases. So you could argue that foodbanks actually save tax payers money as they are an excuse for the government to give people less money, just like tax credits give companies an excuse to pay shite wages as the government will subsidise them.

At least as bars get wider, the bag arc has less chance of colliding with the spoke like a Venn diagram of pain.

Goes something like this (obviously not a shopping bag but same outcome…

Well said wiggles. If I was growing up now my mum may have been someone reliant on a foodbank to support my brother and myself. I don’t think that stripping someone of any shred of dignity first should be a prerequisite to using a foodbank.

Exactly, obviously in a perfect world food banks wouldn’t need to exist, but the world we live in is far from perfect…

Too many selfish people who just think about what is best for them and not what happens to others, I don’t wish I paid less tax, in fact I would happily pay more if I trusted to government to actually help people who need foodbanks rather than bailing out banks…

The goverment/mainstream press (same thing really) make it so easy for people to think that we have such a problem with people taking all our hard earned tax payers money and these people should be demonised for getting £60 a week to live on so they can sneakily sell the NHS through the back door to their tax dodging mates for a “donation” to their party.

Thread like this reveals quite a lot about people…

I am not ashamed to admit I have used a food bank before, I did it because I would have had no other way to feed my family at the time (I did have a job) thankfully I am in a slightly better situation now but I fully appreciate the help that I got at the time.

Yes, feeding pork is against his belief but will not harm him physically in anyway or form. You are merely showing him that pork will not cause him harm and if pork cannot cause him harm then his other belief might be wrong so getting him to realise his own doing.

Do you seriously think that muslims/jews don’t eat pork because they think it will harm them while their mate sits next to them shovelling down a bacon sandwich?

They choose not to because of their beleifs not because they think they will explode if they eat it… just like this whole idiotic shitstorm abour burying pigs in places where they want to build mosques as if pigs are like kryptonite to muslims or something…
