ordered a nobby nic 3.0 Snakeskin trailstar. Will get a purgatory as well and work out the best front/rear combo between those and the ground control as a bit bored of having no grip in mud now…

Some nice bikes but some very dodgy scales on this thread 😉

If you are 5’10sih or over get a large enduro.

Go to a shop and they will help you get the right size it would be crazy to just take someone’s word for it on the internet on something that costs so much… on the other hand YT 😉

I’m sure you get my point.

Flip your stem and that will give you 5mph probably

The topeak ones with the QR seatrail clamps are good as a bit more stable than Velcro.

If you don’t want it to look new then why not just spend the money on a cheap new drivetrain for your current bike?

The boost rockshox are now classed as 29/27.5+. I have the 120mm rebas and they are great. You can get a rev for a bit better damping or the pike for a stiffer fork but not needed that much at 120mm

I did that same thing riding past a bunch of ukippers holding banners on election day. Would do the same to Boris given the chance.

I am going to build one on a Specialized AWOL frame I think, the Fs option is £750 but higher grade steel than the £1000 full build

I’ve had a dialled alpine and is a great little bike but my new one is just a complete monster in comparison actually climbs better but going down is where it is just hilariously fun!

    Old Dialled

    New Fuse

Whatever you do DON’T try to tighten the clutch as per some guides online, Sram do not say you are supposed to do this and have started fitting a little peg which will start to rip the plastic off your mech if you turn the bolt so they know you have messed with it and voided your warranty…

Check the B screw is actually pushing against the tab. Sometimes your mech will come a bit loose and the B screw will slip off it so it isn’t pushing against anything

“sorry sir there is no stock left in that size… however I can order another in for a £50 special order fee” 😉

So really you got £500 off not £35

You stand nowhere… You agreed to a price and they can change that price as much as they want after…

I don’t get why people check the price of something after they bought it? When I have something new I’m to busy using it to bother checking the price again?

My Specialized ground controls have been good on the wet loamy trails but I have fallen off several times riding through big muddy puddles on the way back home through the woods… Thinking about a purgatory for the front.

Sliding rack sounds great, will have to figure out if it would be possible

    Alpkit gourdon.

Waterproof, cheap and still works after years of abuse.

I use the Specialized romin with almost zero padding and wear a decent set of bibs under my baggies and is the most comfortable set up I have managed to find.

Check out the whyte G160 it is longer in large than most XL or an orange alpine or mojo Nicolai…

Don’t use an adjustable spanner… Either a proper flat socket or be very careful with a decent 24mm socket or cone spanner.

I’ve seen forks written off because of badly chosen tools.

Fancy some as new SRAM brakes and rotors? 😉

Just build a kicker big enough to clear the fence is the simpler option.

Just put a small weight and a pulley attached to the gate. Then a board and wheel hight will be quite easy to open and then the weight will gently close it.

Also only the latest bronson is 31.6mm seatpost IIRC, so if you are using an older bronson frame the 150mm doesn’t come in the right size.

If you are using the new bronson 2 then stop being so cheap and just buy a new reverb 😉

Try working in a bike shop, having constant new stuff on the shelves and spending all day looking/talking about how good it is. Most of my wages never leave the shop…

Only if you found it and put it on ice immediately and then you have a 50/50 chance of not losing your nob

Don’t bother, the cube at £1700 is the cheapest thing you will get that actually works. Even that is good bosch stuff bolted to a £500 hardtail.

I’ve seen people pay £1000+ for something that is basically a £200 ebay kit slapped on a £200 bike, they are shocking beyond belief and I doubt there would be any sort of real backup if it did fail/explode.

Service/tune on your shock for that money.

Mine is 27(and a 1/2)Lbs, which I’m quite pleased with as it has 3″ tyres. Tubes removed and lighter saddle and bar than stock but not bad for a bike with a dropper etc.

My last “normal” hardtail was a dialled alpine which weighed about the same, normal sized wheels and no dropper or carbon bars. Still you would think it would be lighter than a B+ much prefer the new bike though… as much as I love a steel HT I just don’t see the need now I have the Fuse…

    Fox?

34’s with the new FIT4 damper and great, light too.

Or 36’s for ultimate stiffness and super plushness, small bump is way better than the pike.
