Slightly more expensive running costs but no major issues.

Tiagra 4700 mech can go up to a 34t on the bike so has a decent range without needing a MTB mech.

To answer the OP question, you will struggle if it is a 16″, a 18″ frame it should fit 20″ or above seems to fit fine. This is based on my experience with float x and X2 so take up about the same space as a coil.

Sorry I’m a bit lost. So it does it even with the tyres swapped?

Is there a noticeable flat spot in the rim when you spin it with no tyre?

Good guessing that might not be the plus sized version?

I’m 16st and run mine at 17 psi rear

I’ve got the schwalbe, with a nobby NIC up front.

Seems pretty much as fast as the ground control I had previously but actually grips as well.

Bump in case anyone has tried them tubeless?

I’ve ridden all of the different power systems on many different bikes, currently the Levo is the one to get 100%.

The brose system is great, it looks like a normal bike, no rattles from the battery etc, but the biggest thing is it rides like a normal (but heavy) bike.

Probably the bearings then, we use a bearing supplier for big boxes of headset bearing in 99% of sizes bit none of them 100% match the specialized ones. Almost impossible to notice a difference until you fit it.

Where did you get your bearings?

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet but you won’t want a double with your triple shifter…

Specialized do the comp stem that has a shim so is +/- 22-28°

Shortest is 75mm though. But it’s good because you can try different rises without buy more than one stem.

    ideal summer business

What to rent it out to people and then when they inevitably die 10ft down the road take their wallet?

Any thoughts on why they may fail?

Because it is a bearing exposed to British weather

I picked up an almost unused avenir for £40 from guntree and seems good quality. Would happily buy another for the full price I could stretch to burley prices.

Yeah I’ll get the topcap tool. Got used to having them on my fuse, so ordered them straight away for this, got the plug and play guards as well.

Probably just going to change the tyres for something little bigger and maybe for a shorter stem if I feel I need it hopefully I won’t need anything else.

I like. Not sure why, if running one cage, it’s on the seat tube. Down tube would be better, surely?

Ordered the swat cage with the multitool so that will be on the down tube when it gets here.

Hoods look a little high to me. Rotate the bars down a little and you’ve get a better feel across all the hand positions. Saddle looks far forward, too. (Unless that’s how your bikefit was set up, obviously)

Just playing with the set up at the moment will get it sorted. Hoods were really low so put them up (maybe a bit far though).

Get some pimp skinwalls on there, and it’ll look even better! (Challenge Strada Bianca, obviously).
    Great looking bike!

Not sure about skinwall bit might get some challenge tyres want tubeless ideally.

And it’s not my lawn 😉

Spoke rolling tools can take a while so not sure how much someone would charge? Got to be pretty close to the cost of new ones I imagine.

They aren’t technically tubeless but might work. Looking for something a bit more treaded ideally, The specialized trigger could be good bit the decent version is only in a 38c

It’s in Newport. Council logo on the signs as well, miss use of my council tax!

And saying “slow down” doesnt make any sense how do you know how fast I’m going?

Where are the “slow your horse/children down” signs

    Thats not the point…

The idea is a 650b wheel with a 41c tyre is the same diameter as 700x23c so it makes it feel a lot sharper/racier than a massive 700 tyre but still comfortable. Best thing is you could have a frame that only takes up to a 28c and you could then fit a very big 650b tyre.

I’ve had a spin on a cannondale slate and loved it. Seems to get the smooth ride of a big tyre but accelerates faster than a 700x40c would.

Would definitely consider putting it on my bike if I change the wheels.

    Might be 😉

Also if people think it isn’t a £230 bonty because that is too expensive then you obviously have a different definition of reasonable to me…

    Reasonable= less than reverb/LEV
