I was shouting at the TV.
    (Paraphrasing)
“If you’re a real terrorist you wouldn’t give up after a failed security check so we might as well just give them the he gun without bothering”… just horribly astounding

As far as I know he’s all collie, not a pedigree or anything though so may have some lab in him.

He’s booked in at the vets and I will look at classes.

I’m already awake because I’m so excited, but I have to spend the day in work before I can go get him 🙁

I’d rather him get used to where he need to piss/shit before I let him sleep in my bed no matter how cute he is 😉

Just had confirmation he is coming home tomorrow 😀

I have an old blabket we use on the sofa etc so be using that in the crate for now as it will Smell of us.

Will make sure I update with plenty of pics, just waiting on a reply from the seller about picking him up tomorrow.

Awesome pictures guys. Some great tips too, thanks.

Looking to set up insurancewith petplan as there is vets on our street and they have said they are the one they deal with the most.

Already got a crate ready for him, so will try and make sure that is used from day one. I think the name has been decided as Indy.

    He’s a collie

There were 2 to choose from, I really liked his bigger brother as he was a bit more live but he was a bit full on with the kids all and wouldn’t calm down and this little fella was a lot calmer and controlled so was the sensible option I hope. He’s still a collie puppy so he’s going to be nuts whatever happens.

Oldnpastit- i’ve got loads of spare shoes and my car interior can’t get much worse so that’s a start.

    £30-50 in my shop probably.

£30 for standard gear service (new cables etc) plus a bit extra for the taping and extra time for cable routing if it was a real pain.

The bike will be used for more leisurely riding as opposed to trying to set any Strava records.
Always liked the simplicity of the Lauf, no maintenance, just clean it and ride.
Keeps the rest of the bike relatively simple. Just look after the battery and the drive chain.
Also will be ridden on local beaches, so salt spray won’t be an issue.
    First ride tomorrow.

Fair enough, from a low maintenance perspective it makes sense. The ones we have as demos we have put downhill tyres and big burly forks on and they ride amazing downhill with all the grip etc and you don’t really worry about the climbing changes as it still goes up fine.

P7 over the crush if you go orange, P7 is slacker (and steel!)

Whyte 905/909 has got to be in the list also.

    36 all the way.

Fitted and used plenty of both on nomads, had a customers few that chose pikes come back for a 36 upgrade never had any of the 36 owners come back to get a pike.

Not that the pikes ae crap, i’ve had them on my own bike. But t given the choice it would be the fox, much more tuneable, stiffer and just feel a bit smoother in my experience.

Don’t really understand using a lauf?

Bike is going to be over 40lbs no matter what you do so might as well have some adjustments and rebound damping for the sake of a few more lbs

No to say it doesn’t look like great fun though. But my roof ebikes so far is fitting more heavy duty kit tends to work well as the added weight makes much less of a difference.

I was astonished at the price being charged for those adapters! I don’t know if a Specialized dealer could get them cheaper – you sure they’re not supposed to come with the frame?
Any photos you wish to share would be great to see
    OK then, just for you…

    So you ordered a trek?

They do not allow mail order bikes, only collection from a dealer. Most websites should have it built in to not let you order/tell you collection only of its a trek (or other brand that has similar restrictions)

I can fit a 3″ tyre in hooks similar to that.

Also what is all the hype around the Jeffsy about?

They’ve just made a 29er trail bike with (remarkably average geometry) like very other brand has for the last 4 years.

Endura do a single track bibshort with pocket on the back as well, much better pad than the specialized I my opinion (and I’m a spesh fanboy)

Would be great for your phone and keys, probably need a time machine for the other though;)

I’ve got the smartweld had a few weeks and love it, still tweaking my fit but I’m 5’8″ riding a 54cm with a short stem bit loads of seatpost out.

Just fitted some 31c tyres so hopefully that will make it even more comfortable but it was more than tolerable on canals/rough paths with the stock 28s
