I know someone who had a medium whyte G150 that thought it was a bit big so bought a small capra for his next bike. Looks like a BMX when he is on it, geo wise a large capra was more similar to his medium so beware comparing them to other bikes…

It’s a £200 rear mech so jockey wheels at £40+ is proportionally the same as paying £15 for some for a mech that is £80 (eg XT)

You could buy an entire nx mech for £50 if it is that much of a big deal.

Terminator 2,3,4 (or whatever) the original however is a masterpiece

    I prefer 2 to the first one…

The ones on the sequoa are listed as “adventure gear hover bars” whereas the roubaix is just hover bar and that is what they sell aftermarket so just a riser not flared.

The new flow mk3 rims, will explode a 2.5dh tyre off the rim and cover you in stans at 40 psi… in my experience. I’d say their recommendations are pretty accurate and wouldn’t go to far above what stans say.

I don’t think the hover bars for sale aftermarket are flared. Just the standard ones from the Roubaix. Not seen the sequoia ones listed for sale anywhere.

That only applied to certain tyres designed to be run opposite ways front and rear.

Otherwise it is just hoping for some miracle that a tyre works better the opposite way to which it was designed/tested.

If you aren’t too bothered about the bb etc you can get short cranks in loads of sizes from any frog bike dealer for about £30 for square taper short cranks with a chainring.

Like the rear end design but looks stupid with the shock just diagonally across the middle and the fact it looks like a sheet of carbon with some holes and shapes cut into it…

I bought it second hand and Trek would not honor the lifetime warranty, only valid with the original buyer

Damn those horrible people not giving someone who never paid them a penny a new frame.

What something you bought in the past is more expensive now? How unusual…

Talas is a big compromise it is much less tunable (no volume spacers) and it seems to be that if you set it up to work good at 160 then 140 will feel shit or the other way around. I would just get 150mm float 36.

I was setting up a set today and they just don’t feel as good as the floats I don’t see the point at all.

I would advise either getting something like a Nikko to start with as they aren’t really fast enough to break and you can get spare batteries or get something from tamiya/HPI/Traxxas etc which are more money but you will never be stuck unable to get parts. Go to you LHS and see what they sell and stock spares for.

Its seized because you hardly use it…

If you used it more they would get rough but not seize, if you at least spin the cranks a few times now and then it won’t seize and 90% of the time it is just the drive-side one that wears out, so getting one with replaceable bearings is good because you can just change the one that is knackered.

I’d buy the full evil range, the look so good and ride brilliant and I would be too rich to give a shit about their appalling warranty

Henry (well i’ve got a james as it was on offer)

Just works, never had to do anything to it and sucks up a lot more stuff than my old hoover that was on paper twice as powerful.

If they don’t have to be Microsoft programmes then I would recommend a Chromebook, a £200 one will be much faster than a £300 laptop and you still have all the Google programmes that make word, excel etc compatible files.

They do sort of feel like that compared to shimano, shimano have the servo-wave which means the braking is more progressive.

Low for the ups high for the downs. You won’t be going downhill for over an hour in a 3hr ride.

As I said I couldn’t give two hoots that they were having a chat, just that it was in different language

I’d say that is what makes it racist. You are not bothered by them chatting just the fact that it is another language?

If you were bothered about them chatting when they should be serving you that is one thing but only being offended because of the language they are talking is a bit racist IMHO.

    and different keys.

That’s where your going wrong, different keys don’t work in locks they are specific 😉

I know how annoying it is though, have one at work that does the same no trick or knack to it it just doesn’t work for many attempts then just works at random… Then the next day works first time

If you liked the fit of the large why consider going up a size?

Because it might be better? The size down/up does have to feel terribly wrong for another one to better.

I’d guess at XL for you height but need go try it out really

The you can’t send to sram direct. You either send them back to whoever you bought them from, or take them to a local shop to send off in which case most just charge for their handling/postage.

Flat roof so no attic to worry about 😉

I did think birds or bats but the ceiling cavity doesn’t seem to be accessible from the chimney, I seem to have narrowed it down to a Small section against one of the walls where the ceiling is about 6 inches lower? Not sure what this is and where it leads to, almost drilled a big hole in it last night to catch the bastard 😆

I use Vittoria xn pro’s, great on road and decent enough on easyish off road stuff because of the side knobs.

I have mudguards as well so 31mm is about as much as I can fit.

Same everywhere unfortunately. My boys school even put up signs made by the kids saying “please don’t park here you are putting us in danger” type stuff with adorable handwriting and drawings and guaranteed there’s an Audi parked right in front of it on the no parking writing.

Would hate to live on that Street…
