Until recently I worked for a SC dealer and I had no issues getting any warranty parts from them, would hapily recomend they dont break much either and have one of the best finish quality of any brands.

didnt deal with ibis and pivot but knew people with transitions one of which had to have several replacements of his frame and they all took a minimum of a month sometimes 8-10 weeks.

You are just jamming the cable down into the frame… It needs to go somewhere so pull it out of wherever it exits the frame as you push the post down and it will work fine.

Full service will include striping the damper and cleaning it all out including the shims etc and depending on the type of damper they need bleeding with a very expensive machine when rebuilding.

ust adding my opinion. Modern brushless motors and lipo batteries make electric cars pretty damn fast, though still not as quick as nitro.

Only down side is you need a pile of them as they only last 5 ish minutes (buy a car battery and charger and you can drive all day)

that was true about 10 years ago…

You can buy an off the shelf electric car that will do 100mph now and batteries last 20-40minutes so as much as a tank of fuel if you have decent ones.

These day I would go electric over nitro they are faster now for a decent one and quiet, nitro is always a faff tuning them etc.

Last one I had was a big 1/5 2 stroke petrol and that was far to loud to use most places

Mine never leaves my pack. Just top it up next time I ride.

    Burn it… Immediately

Seriously I left mine with stuff in it for no more than a few days, took the bite valve off and it was full of nasty black shit.

I’d pay for it using the £1400 in my pet a/c and cash from other savings.

My 3 previous dogs and my cats have never been insured or needed huge vet bills paid. I’m well ahead if I get a big bill. I can afford to pay it from cash.

It’s about attitude to risk as well. Do you buy the extended warranties on every household item you buy?

You won’t be paying £20 a month for a 10 year old dog by the way.

Im not quite in the same financial bracket as yourself it would appear as I dont have the money to keep thousands sat waiting so it would be a case of not having the operation if i didnt have the insurance.

not sure of your problem but don`t undo the bolt at the top under the seatclamp… it contains 400psi nitrogen.

that looked nasty, looks like he is out for a while which is such a shame after his start to the season

did they change just the inner or was it a full cable kit?

why didnt you just buy the cable and do it yourself if it is a “5 minute” job?

If it was a prearranged repair it might be less, but places based near trails get 90% of their business from people needing stuff fixed quick so take advantage of this as they may not have much repeat business from people visiting for the day..

putting a longer fork will make the bb higher, so ofset bush wouldn`t be too much of a problem.

a stumpy is more than adequate for the places you describe IMO.

Ride very nicely with a 160 fork, can fit a offset bush to the front of the shock to slacken a bit.

Wouldnt really say a capra would be much of an upgrade just has more travel if your stumpy really, but an even shorter (stumpy isnt long) toptube

Took my dad to cwmcarn, first time he has been on proper mtb trails… he had a nice walk.

Need to make a few adjustments but the new forks are very nice

One of the main benefits about saving in an a/c rather than buying pet insurance is not needing to deal with an insurance company. Pay their wages then get called a ****** on the phone? Bargain

Doesn’t really work when after 3 months of saving £20 your dog needs a £2k op, that’s kind of the point of insurance…

question is did they join the right party or just hijack somebody else’s?

I think they did, their blairites were the ones that hijacked it for a while

Where people get their news has a big effect on their perception of people…

as such we have “people dont like corbyn based on what they have read in right-wing media” shocking…

Also how is someone being in charge because a big majority of members of the parted voting for them a bad thing?

makes much more sense than someone putting their hand up and saying “Id like daves old job” and everyone else backing out so we end up with a PM nobody (not even the tories) voted for

what May is saying is we won’t accept a bad deal.

We wont get a deal, then she will blame the EU and then we will turned into some tax haven for corporations and they will manage to care even less for people who arent rich.

They have already started to talk about “deregulating the labour market” which we all know means, less rights for workers for holidays, sick pay even wages

Also… “gives mps vote” should be followed by “as long as it isnt about brexit”

get woken up by dog, take him out for pee (no garden). Go back to bed if there is time, get dressed and go to work for my coffee as I have access to one of these

As long as you win the races and don’t place between people it won’t effect anything anyway

What do people do for lo-carb Lunch?

I am really lazy the night before work and just normally make a sandwich…

Suppose some kind of salad would be the obvious choice with some chicken or something.

Can’t do soup with no bread, it’s just not right.

mine sleeps on his bed in the kitchen (shut in) perfectly fine at night apart from waking me up in the morning if he needs a piss. Sometimes barks and whines when i put him in there during the day.

despite the small wheels it is for an adult, it would be awful as a kids bike, look at a frog 52/55 instead.

What tend to be the consequences of not servicing a fork?

Mostly it is dirty/dry seals lead to worn stanchions which means they won’t be very smooth and if it’s bad enough lose air, the fix is a new CSU (£££).

Same goes for shocks, you have the replace the shaft as it gets worn.

Tempted to convert to flat bars… because I have spare mtb brakes and could buy bars and shifters for about 10% of the cost of road hydros, the brakes are really my only niggle with it, they work and slow me down I just have to put a LOT of effort into the lever to do it.

I’ve got the specialized mudguards and a set of vittoria XN pros in 31c that are just about as big as fits under the guards decent grip, roll well and comfy.

    Hope make SCS hubs.

only bolt through though, the DSW diverge is QR so you just need normal 135mm hubs and the non-offset hanger

I see what happens to the forks that people wait too long to service… be prepared for £££££

once a year at least for a proper service, learn to do lowers or get LBS to do it regualrly and they will be fine.

Not point spending hundreds or thousands on suspension for it to not work properly because it is full of crap

    wiggles

That just looks like you are going to end up with it in your spokes, seatpost an option?

another diverge DSW owner here, it really is a great bike, mine is used for commuting on a mixture of roads and quite rough canal paths, it is great for this, only thing is I wish I had hydraulic brakes which are a very pricey upgrade.

(excuse the weird angle of the bars/shifters this was when I first got it)
