I have an ominous Hermes update on a parcel today yesterday it was out for delivery now it’s back to “sorted at regional depot” and the out for delivery bit with yesterday date has disappeared….

MSUK is a decent forum some very knowledgeable chaps but as with anything RC related it has a significantly higher proportion of stupid 12 year olds than STW.

I recently managed to do a bit of a deal with someone I know who was getting out of RC for some of his cars for a bike I had and sold a few lights etc im not using as wanted to get something to use with the kids and just keep me busy. Worked out great for me as (many of you already know) I dont really have cash to spend but still have too many bikes (off to classifieds I go to sell another)

I have had somewhat different experience with a landlord sending someone round to “fix” it every other week (often not working for 2-3 days at a time) throughout winter rather than replacing the obviously **** boiler. I had a new born baby at the time as well…

It seems something has been sorted at the DWP as some money has gone into my account although not as much as I should have but better than nothing.

Had my usual job centre appointment today, apparently there was no record on the system of my phone call yesterday telling me the sanction is being lifted 😯 they are looking into it for me and to be fair the lady was very helpful and very intent on trying to get me paid, so shall have to see how long it takes.

I really wanted a shumacher menace back in the day (slighly newer version on this to an extent) did 70MPH!! Glad to see someone is restoring it even if it will be financially 😆 stupid

About 10 years later I built a Traxxas rustler that did 70MPH and it was just stupid and destroyed its tyres at anything more than half throttle (like literally ripped them apart)

I got to do this recently after my house became a “male only zone” (even the dog) got rid of so many baskets and candles!

However my mum decided it looked too “bare” so has started sneaking things in like a random bronze statue of a hare?!

I Just done see the point in having things that fufil no purpose… I have a cupboard to put the TV on, a clock to tell the time etc all look nice and have a purpose no need to add shelving etc for stuff I dont need

Just to update, I am feeling a lot better at the moment. Last time I went to court it I knew I had to go back again (last 2 times I have been were for “final” hearings) I was a mess the stress building up to it then knowing it was just going to happen again really wiped me out.

This time however I am feeling a lot more positive at least knowing I have christmas before anything happens and the kids will be with me and they will have lots of amazing stuff from you guys. I really recomend ranting to strangers on the internet! even if I didnt get anything for the kids just knowing people are listening helps and you can say everything I always seem to hold back a bit with people I know as you still fear being judged…

Not really worth complaining is it…

I’ve been pulled several times (when I was younger) for no reason at all and accused of things like “your car stinks of weed”* and breathalized all fine and got to go after wasting my time for a bit.

*Apparently this is a go to excuse as it is subjective and can’t really be proven false

Or alternatively record all the meters and compare in 24hrs and give them whichever one uses the least seeing as they dont seem to care which one it is linked to…

Took the kids swimming this morning and had a walk through the Christmas market and ended up buying some fancy fudge from a very good salesman 😳

They are happy and at the end of the day that is what matters, I’m feeling a lot more positive than I was a few days ago

I can really sympathise I was very close to probably ending up with the same situation but my ex had “well documented” issues shall we say. I’m still battling with the court but they have been with me for 7+ months now so don’t think that they always side with the mother.

As above its your exes reactions and emotions around you that will be effecting them, they transfer their feelings onto the kid causing the damage and then blame everyone else.

Just keep calm and reasonable when she isn’t being either and she will get found out eventually

I had to skip the whole thing and go straight to court as my ex is completely unreasonable and as above just says everyone is biased and against her rather than realising I am just doing more than her to prove i should have them.

I’m 8months into it with at least another 3 to go… It will be tough but it will be worth it, just focus on what you can do for your kids not your ex.

Went to the pub for lunch with my dad and brother while the kids were with their mum. Wales (narrowly) beating he boks was pretty decent!
