What I’m basically saying is you aren’t necessarily at fault but I’m just saying you probably would end up taking the hit with the insurance as they just try and get things sorted with a little hassle as possible

Although there would be at least one independent witness (the person in the Focus) that would say he was on the wrong side of the road overtaking stationary vehicles at a junction.

You’d be surprised I worked with insurance claims for a few years and 95% of the time everyone else just buggers off it their car isn’t hit so there aren’t any witnesses, or if you do get their number/address most can’t be bothered to respond.

But they would have been on the wrong side of the road as they were overtaking a car stopped at the junction – they couldn’t have pulled back in fully onto the correct side of the road with the space available.

But the other guy wont say that will he? “I was going down the road and someone pulled out in front of me”

Insurance company wont know any different based on the damage to the car etc it would be perfectly plausible unless you have a (independent) witness.

Insurance is far less thorough that if the police were looking into it because someone was hurt etc they just settle for whatever seems the most likely scenario to get it sorted ASAP saving money

IF they hit you insurance would class it as your fault more than likely as ignoring most of the stuff :

When I was younger I used to do some pretty stupid levels of drinking, Have the xrays and scars to prove it :lol:
We used to buy the cheapest “wine” possible from the local corner shop that would sell to us when we were about 16 and get through 4 bottles each as fast as possible because it tasted so bad, also I remember (not sure how) drinking a washing up bowl full of cider at a house party.

Don`t drink very often at all now though very rarely at home and if I do go out usually dont have more than a few pints.

But taxis? why are they allowed to use bus lanes? why does someone paying someone else to drive them around get priority over someone driving themselves? buses sure they have more people on etc but taxis?

I treat everyone in every car as a **** that way you just expect them to do something stupid/dangerous then its a nice surprise when they dont for once.

I have a neat feature on my car to prevent people getting too close, if I dip the clutch and rev it to 7-8k then let go it shoots flames at whoever is behind me :lol:

Just had a delivery from the US with £4.80 customs charge which is fine as the item is not available anywhere else anyway, but they charge £8 to charge me £4.80…

Im stuck with a pay-as-you-go meter (can top up online) but means I was chuffed spending £20 a month in the summer but now its cold its not so great! Averaging it out over the year on a DD was much easier

My kids school was open today as the school play was one for the little ones, surprisingly it seemed everyone made the effort to turn up. I live a 5 minute walk away so no issue for me but judging by the amount of people that drive there everyday I assume they all live many miles away :wink:

I doubt it, their bank would know who they are but they shouldn’t tell you or they would be in trouble. IF they are feeling friendly they could contact the person and pass on your details but they probably wouldn’t.

Yeah they have some frog bikes that I got when I worked in the bike shop.

I drove 20 miles in a rwd car with summer tyres through up to 5-6inches of snow today and it was fine just taking it steady, worst part is how low my car is it acted like a snowplow in some places…
