    Jackie Chan in “Foreigner”

I was expecting the usual, which I enjoy, but this is a much much better film. Maybe it was the contrast to the usual run of Jackie Chan movies, but this was seriously well done.

Gerry Adams and Theresa May look almost like the real thing.

Watched this last night have to agree it was very entertaining

A “spare” rx8 to match my other one… Bid £250 and won because it was listed wrong. Realised it was going to cost £200 to get it to my house and fessed up and told the guy about his error so he was happy to relist and forget my purchase

don’t believe you. Where and when did this happen?

Not that I really care if you beleive me  but in holly head about 16 years ago

Im welsh and as anywhere most people are great and some are cocks im just saying that there are people out there that do these things in a small minority which I have only experienced once in one location in a lifetime of living here.

Doesn’t that just mean that they spoke Welsh in your vicinity?

No, I`m perfectly used to that, but when you walk into a shop and they speak to you in welsh and you politely say “sorry I dont speak welsh” and they continue to talk to you in welsh even when you again say you dont understand it can be a bit annoying.

I wouldn’t expect any different in france or spain… but you know for a fact these people can speak english so you would think if asked politely they could talk to you to let you buy something rather than make you leave because you dont know what they are saying…

and I was only about 11…

I went to the cinema twice… Dunkirk and Star wars so Dunkirk is my film of the year but also think it would be nowhere near as good not in a cinema

Thank you very much for the offer Neil but its ok I need to get used to it anyway. I havent spent more than 24 hours apart from them all year so just seems strange. Maybe I will actually ride that bike I built in the same year I built it!

xherbivorex – I think we can all feel like that, my family are very much the “oh you`re depressed are you? … well, then cheer up” type so I know it can be hard but you just have to deal with things the way you need to and try not to worry as much about other peoples perceptions of you

Well I was worried about being all on my own for boxing day that has no changed to 3 days…

I family friend was due to go to Bluestone next week for 2 nights but has recently been in hospital and his wife and kids are staying at home with him so he very kindly offered me their booking as they are too late for a refund.

I cant go as the dog isnt allowed and I have no one to look after him (cant go to kennels) so the kids are going with my mum, which I feel guilty for not being that happy about as the kids deserve to go and have a nice time but I dont really want to be alone for 3 days…

I’m somewhat on the fence with this stuff…

I myself have been falsely accused of horrible things I didn’t do which amounted to nothing In the end as obviously there was no truth in the accusations from a spiteful ex…

On the other side a member of my family works for the CPS in a specialist team trying to prosecute sexual assault/rape cases and they are very hard to win. When one (and I stress this is very much a minority) lady was found to be lying, as in 100% lying there were messages she sent admitting she was making false allegations to get someone in trouble it was decided that they would not prosecute her as not to offput other victims from coming forward.

So I find it hard to know what is right, yes the people who really do commit these terrible crimes deserve as severe punishment as possible under the law it also seems there is little consequence to someone making false allegations with some even doing it to more than one person

I don’t have any in-laws this year which is good, kids are with me for Christmas so going to my parents for dinner but then they are spending boxing Day with their mum so I won’t have anything to do all day…

Depending on what my grandparents are doing I might go visit them as my grandad probably won’t see another Christmas (has a heart condition and while they were doing scans for that recently discovered 4 different types of cancer 8O  )

Apple see themselves as an aspirational, premium lifestyle brand.

Which is true, I dont have a problem with that If you think it is worth paying to have one because you like it fair enough, same with a £150 pair of trainers or whatever.

But trying to claim they are superior to everything else just because they are apple is when it gets silly, everything they launch as a new amazing feature was on someone elses device a few years previous.

When they launched one of the first iphones the TV advert showed how amazing it was by having an app to help you figure out how to split the bill with friends at a restaurant… so like the calculator on my nokia 3310 then?

Acceleration is far more fun than speed, every now and again going to 9000RPM* in first from the lights up to 30mph then just shift up a few and drive sensible.

But nothing beats a nice open flowing road on a nice day

*well nearly as 9000 would be over 30MPH which I would never do

I would definitely have them again, the person I had them with would be changed if that is an option though? Im kind of glad I had them young as I think I wasnt headed in a very good direction before they came along

I was 20 when my oldest was born, he is nearly 7 now and his brother is 5 and I have them both on my own and I wouldnt change them for the world.

When I left school I was trying to find any job I could get and was struggling a bit as it was 2008 just after everything went tits up…

I was invited to an interview for a “marketing” company in cardiff. I had almost no money to my name and my parents were away so I used most of my cash I had to buy food until they were back buying various bus and train tickets to get to the interview which comprised of a brief presentation which made the whole thing start to seem very much like some pyramid scheme….

I was then taken out to spend the rest of the day shadowing one of their “marketing executives” which meant catching a train to Porth (the literal arsehole of the universe) and followed him round as he knocked on doors asking for money for the redcross while earning himself some commission out of the charity donations. I soon decided I didnt have the stomach for this type of work and said “sorry mate but you job is shit I dont know how you do it” and walked off…

Then after an hour trying to find my way around I bumped into him again and had to appologise for my insult so we could split a taxi back…
