Planet X have refused to do anything.

I bought the bike as a light tourer its in the advertising I quote

“The London Road covers so many bases it almost seems unfair to your other bikes. It has proven itself to be a capable and comfortable winter trainer when dressed in mudguards and an exemplary commuter and tourer with the addition of panniers and a rack. “

soo I am going to load it with panniers and tent on the rear rack and head off into the distance with a very wary eye on the welds.

There is a bigger picture here that some of you just cant grasp :roll:

If you look carefully at the picture you can see in the area of the hole there is less weld, so Mr welder had a bad day or was distracted maybe this is the first time his little company has worked for PX or even the first time they have worked with bike frames or Aluminium …..maybe some peoples bottom brackets and head tubes have similar poor welds, but hey its all ok because Planet X are cool and sometimes they talk to you like your real people and not just walking ATM’s.

I liked my cannondale prophet to until i pointed it up hill bobed like a biatch !

The most fun little bike I owned was a Kona kikapau one size to small fast light and loads of fun.

The london road debacle gets worse!

While cleaning my new London road to day I discovered this hole in a weld on the seat stay bridge

How bad is it ? I think its a replacement frame job what do you think?

The problem is I have completely lost faith in the product there are so many problems with this frame set I wonder what it will be like in 3 years time or will i have a catastrophic failure.

Its not that hard to import you need a french MOT CT its called and go to the tax office for a document to find out about tax, change headlights before CT and you will need a certificate of conformity from the manufacturer some charge some dont Fiat charged me 170 euro for a Ducato mitsubishi gave me one for free as did Honda,crazy!

Insurance here is far cheaper and you can bring your no claims.

A little known quirk of french driving is “Priorite a Droite” means vehicles joining the road from the right have the right of way in certain circumstances, basically if they have no “ceddeze le passage” or halt sign on their road they can come straight out in front of you, its incredibly confusing and dangerous and even the French cant easily tell which road has the priority so never assume that the car you see coming from your right wont actually pullout in front of you, its more common on the B roads and in town.

By a plot for peanuts and build, old property renovation is a money pit,build new and you can pretty much get of f grid with insulation solar power small wind turbine and a well for water get a wooden build kit do it your self or hire builders.

Take a look at the boiler and cooker you have no idea of their service history I would have both serviced, If the water is private ie a well get it tested.

Here in France all houses have everything tested and documented before the sale goes through you have a good idea what your getting.

I have tried to get back ppi but have no information regarding the account I had with Natwest they say with out account information they can do nothing I had a large mortgage on a Pub and they made me take ppi as they said it was the only way the bank made a profit on the loan and they were doing me such a big favor, it was obvious buy the ppi or no mortgage.

Any way I was self employed so ppi would not have worked for me …what a bloody con and no one goes to jail or even gets a wrist slap.

Do stop frequently LGV driver stop every 2/3 hours for at least 15 minutes and every 4/5 hours for 45 and it makes sense no trip is worth dying for! and the amount of people that go off the road driving down through France every summer is scary.
