No i returned to the shop that sold me the Italian thread BB I had taken the frame to him originally to get the specs correct and he said i needed the italian spec, this time different mechanic saw the threads needed chasing viola! now have a standard BB.

Yes and i have tried a 68 mm BSA the left cup fits fine the right does not and the thread appears to be opposite the frame is of Italian origin..planet x said and I quote

I had a 26″ and did not like it (felt dead) sold it and bought a Thorn.

I get knee pain on most bikes it for me is always sorted by moving the seat forward.

Go low pushing a loaded tourer sucks big time especially at the end of a long hot day and the camp site is in that ancient waled bastide at the top of the steepest piece of defensible land in the area…welcome to european touring.

I have an almost unused revolution country traveler going cheap as its to long for me they run very long top tubes so if you go that route be careful.

I had a Thorne sherpa great bike felt like a steel bike and would could go any where…I also had a Surly LHT but it felt like a lump of dead pig iron and I sold it it just did not inspire me..My other tourer was a cannondale ultra with 80 mm fatty fork my bigest regret selling that bike,it was a tru swiss army knife and sub 30lbs which is fine for such a capable machine Tourer’s are the most capable of bikes if you get the right one it will become a good friend.

If i can only have one bike it would be a tourer.

Dig in the drawer for an old Nokia and spend 200 quid on something worth while :lol:

Ditto: I was looking at a Ridgeback panorama and Genesis equilibrium and would have not purchased the LR had it not been reduced so i feel conned.

I live in France and grapes are seasonal and home produce and always have seeds they are no where near as nice as the ones imported to Uk from south africa etc….a pity as its one of the foods i miss along with Hienz beanz and marmite …good streaky bacon can be had but its called Potrine de fumme (spelling may be off) and its by the lardons and cooked ham in Carfour market.
