Syfydrin at Nant y Arian, proper old skool loop lots of natural stuff, double track over the moors, then some trail centery bits back to cafe… time your return with kite feeding time and you drop down with them circling all around…pretty special 😊

Single with no kids then critical illness cover would be a better idea… you die your worries end! You cant work due to illness how do you find your life? Especially under this caring government 🙄

DrP… so glad this has been resolved, I remember your initial post when you were first splitting up, how you were being so reasonable in the hope that it would make things easier in the long run. I felt like warning you not to be too nice with her after making the same mistake myself, your ex is now behaving exactly as mine did/does! I actually felt really guilty for not commenting on that post when I read this…..sorry

I’ve got lumicycles must be 8 yrs of absolutely faultless service, way better than 4 4ths I’ve got(dodgy connection and battery died after minimal use) guy was always great to chat to…. just for balance 😉

Go for it! I love it I’ve done the north Wales league for last 4 seasons and it’s great fun (in a leg burning way) you always find someone of similar abilities to race and the vast majority of people are sound. Tips get a good warm up, practice leaping off and on the bike (YouTube vids) and practice off camber stuff… our courses are nuts more like mtb at times with river crossings etc, not BC affiliated so more exciting than usual parks, last year one was part DH course! Only downside is doldrums when season finishes 😥

Dont do it…serrations on the cleats are designed to lock into the sole for a reason buddy! If you put a plate between the cleats and carbon there’s a chance the cleats will twist rather than disengage when you try to unclip …in traffic this might not end well!

Our canteens have sinks with hot and cold taps, they also have wall mounted boilers providing instant boiling water for coffees etc….. we recently had a team meeting where it was pointed out that we shouldn’t use the boilers to wash our hands🙄…. and they trust us to build aeroplanes!

Anyone know if you can pay for parking +camping on arrival… we had a lodge booked last year so weren’t required but subsequent cancellation and rolling entries over to this year meant we couldn’t book them! I’ve emailed but no response as yet… cheers folks😉 oh I’ve done the last 13 editions it’s epic!

Demo kits just arrived… jeez this thing is tiny! Way smaller than I expected ….. maybe a daft question but was gonna fit it on my (hairy) stomach do I need to shave a patch to fit it to?

Cheers Sven… was wondering about the baggage involved with the omnipod?… gotta admit heading for a night out with a phone and pen in my pocket is libre-ating 😉

I try and start a ride about 8 – 10 with a weak carb drink in camelback, monitoring frequently with libre and drinking more or less to keep me around 8… adrenaline before events does mess it up massively, nearly 30 on the first climb of the Dyfi two years ago 🙄 the problem with pens is once you’ve injected it’s in your system for 4 hours, I’m liking the sound of making minor tweaks to insulin levels as you ride

Thanks folks good to hear this… was looking at miao miao as mate uses it but libre2 should be around by Xmas according to Abbott rep and didn’t want to get one and find it wouldn’t work with L2, I’ve requested a trial omnipod but not heard anything yet. Often when I ride or run my sugars go sky high, especially pre event, novorapid seems to take a long time to drop levels…. does the omnipod insulin kick in quicker?

Had mine since Monday…it’s amazing, just run 10miles in the snow, checked bloods as I ran so much easier than stopping and faffing about!…changed my long acting insulin, control is better already …love it😁

Supposed to be starting with these next week…. really can’t wait! Only concern is how much of a bump it takes to dislodge it as do have to climb into some confined spaces with work? Mate had one on for his stag do and it was fine for coasteering and surfing, we were jumping of some high cliffs so defo exceeded 1m depths with no issues!

I had the same tight toes problem with my road s works  (went 1/2 size bugger for mtb) did the trimming toenails thing too😉 then realised the insole is quite thick under toes so shaved it a lot thinner with Stanley blade.. couple of mm transformed them….give it a go!

I did all three routes in one day last year, Malaucene was nicer than Bedouin as I felt that climb was really busy… Ok the 6am start on Malaucene helped but the crowds spoilt it for me. Sault was a lovely climb too though especially the early stages through fields of herbs..after lunch this was very quiet too… enjoy it’s one stunning mountain 😊

Ok slightly different idea… I’ve had t1 9yrs now and seen bg readings from 1.8 to low 30s… usually early hours post tough rides and massive sessions on the cider plus curry😉…ive always woken up and been able to sort myself out so don’t panic too much!… did the Penmaenmawr fell race and met a woman there with a hypo dog… gorgeous collie trained to let her know if her sugars were dropping… as I said different but maybe worth considering. Also DAFNE was a good help and even the shyest teens came out of their shells in the group environment!…good luck

its a great way to keep your fitness up when you only have an hour or so! I first started when kids were little and ran when they were in bed, I used to run out and back so by adding a couple of hundred yards each time the distance soon increased. off road is lots more fun, ipod helps too, I ran a half marathon last night and whilst legs feel battered today then loosen up soon enough! YEP IT GETS EASIER!
