What forks are they…ended up having to take a dremel to both forks and adapter to a pair of DTs recently…if you were running a 183mm disc you will need a 203mm now

Nah Brassneck…you're right I know its hypocritical of me…yep they always wear them… wheras I never did as a kid….by the same token when I was my daughters age 8 I was off fishing all day literally miles away from home in the middle of nowhere….no way I'd let her do that though…parenting paradox :?

Just thinking are you named on the receipt?…surely if its just a generic so and so's bike shop reciept for £325 the warantee would "transfer" how would Giant ever know if you took it back to another giant dealer that it wasn't you that purchased it?

Bought my Whyte at leisure lakes had the bearings replaced at the edge, I had proof of purchase but didn't prove I was the person on the owners manual, actual till receipt proves somebody bought it on a set date that's all?

I took a tumble last night on a steep climb, went over sideways off the edge, bike followed me and the end of my lockon grip smacked the back of my lid pretty hard…sure the base of my skull wouldn't have enjoyed that!

I always wear one on and off road when riding alone or in a bunch, I'm also pretty vociferous about my clubmates wearing them on the road

BUT if I'm pootling along with the kids/my wife on a smooth cycle path I don't wear one…rating the risk level as low

Guys it's obviously funded by the 7stanes folks, looking for info about what we like and dislike about trail centres, hence the Scotland-centric feel to it.

I thought it was quite innovative in design in places myself…only criticism was its length…if it's gonna take 20mins say so at the outset

Cinnamon Girl you in market research then?

Probably the wisest course of action fella, end of the day even if the charges seem excessive I doubt the council would be shipping off debt collection work to people who act illegally…hope you get stuff sorted!

I did Builth in lycra on sunday..too hot for baggies over Assos my usual prefrered combo…felt a bit wierd not having shaved legs!..will be doing it soon…used some hair removing cream on my nads when I had the snip..may give that a try!

Mate of mine who frequents these parts has concentrated more on MTB than road this year just because his wife reduces his bedroom action quota  when he shaves his legs!

Can't imagine why the dealer would give you 30mins of his time for free, why not see if a listed fitter will price match or get near enough!

vacuum cleaner would not be strong enough…bags felt like they'd crush my feet

Also my M230 ratchets have been fragile…good dealer will get you replacements while you wait months (honest)for originals from madison

Get on the SMBLA site fella…list of instructors and course dates there. SMBLA manual (part of £50 registration costs) is about 250 pages of info to read and digest…lot of it straightforward. you need BCF/equiv Welsh Scottish membership for insurance too

Start my TCL in a couple of weeks with 1bike1…looks like being fun  then its MBL after youve passed TCL

ps. manual says 12hr first aid course is ok…if you fancy going for it start logging your rides, time terrain and weather conditions…and get a 6hr plus one in as its a prerequisite…

Actually the power of gravity in Wales has been devolved to the Welsh Assembly Govt…now we all know that essentially to get involved in politics you have be some kind of power crazed, self obsessed, depraved sexual deviant…so it's quite likely there are a few single speeders in the Sennedd …perhaps they've been messing with gravity!..ps passed plenty of one geared deviants pushing/mending chains on the Dyfi!

Check it carefully for frame cracks under the shock too…defo grease the big grippers and check they are tight enough when you clamp em shut…shot of WD40 on the pivots one by one to isolate the problem may help….BB is tight yeah?

FBK…in terms of extra hassle its 20 mins of your life for the comfiest shoes ever …mine really are ace, they pinch up round your heel especially…always used high end shimano mtb shoes and thought they were great…broke a buckle on my new ones and wore old ones…like clogs in comparison!…tried DMT,s Sidis and shimano road shoes so am familiar with other brands…only hassle is still waiting for replacement ratchet from shimano…since mid March ..still using them as Revolution bikes sorted me out with a road strap that fits

Tidy like….especially if we all get the right to roam…surely a collaberative govt will actually represent the majority of people better?

Yep I was chatting to him…Nice guy told me the bike only arrived from Ebay the day before, he seemed to be regretting not having time to fit gears when I spoke to him…he was walking, obviously I could still speak as I had selected an appropriate gear for the incline
