I think the big money will be in early hand built stuff done in ltd no’s or high end stuff we dreamed about and maybe couldn’t afford at the time

Reckon the original D.O.G.S B.O.L.X and Attitude were nice looking bikes that will appreciate, same with early Paces, Funks, Mtn Goats, Serrotta Tmax was afantastic looking bike…My old Fuquay is pretty sweet too

My kids school insists on helmets for kids who ride…I insist on my two wearing them…Mrs doesn’t tho!

I always wear one both on and off road and get a bit arsey with the couple of older roadies who dont wear one on club runs…my arguement being “it’s one of us who has to tell your Mrs you’ve had a head injury”, so it’s not just them it affects

Mates lad had an off at a skate park couple of weeks ago..no lid no brain/skulldamage…BUT will have a big scar across his forehead for the rest of his life…I’d like to stop that happening to mine!

does the STW rugby collective think Lievremont might be in trouble after this years tournament?

Yep they had a right laugh about his comments on Scrum V last night…wouldn’t be suprised if the French team aren’t out on strike by Wednesday

Agree Phillips handoff was class…he’ll improve with this confidence booster

Southern Yeti…hmm think I know who you mean….popular religious leader if the census forms are to be believed?

In all seriousness I have asked Jon Collins MBLA instructor for input,(I’ve just qualified as a MBLA leader with him) he will advise what works to coach on just wanted some rider feedback too

Thisisnotaspoon ramps to launch folks into the river would work well…when the tides in anyway

Hi Dezb…hard to define suppose its a small offroad loop with features like step ups, dropoffs, rock gardens, bermed corners for you to learn/practice skills on. I’m thinking of all of the above in a variety of sizes so if you are scared of dropoffs for example, you can start small and work up as your confidence grows

Hoped to get more help from the STW massive though 8O

Yep SV might be worth mentioning he wants to watch out for a night Hypo if its his first all dayer for a while….I had a bad one last night after a tough chaingang session…tell him to go to bed high!

Votchy…those pumps look scary to me…plus a bit of a passion killer with the Mrs no doubt!

Got a mate (crane driver) currently doing 7 days 13hrs a day…away from wife and kids (and biking!) cos his boss needs him to….in the current climate he can’t realistically turn his boss down (job security) and you reckon he should be penalised by additional taxes?…get real

Hey Datsunman do you notice your power drops if your sugars get too high as well? when I get to 6 I feel a lot less sharp but if get to high its wierd but that feels similar…easy to do if group ride turns out easier than expected or lots of punctures etc oh yeah its hard to keep the jellybabies to yourself though!

What exactly is the point of playing every game outside the heartland of RL?

yeah its a problem…haven’t the fans got to get back to feed their whippets?

Hey mrTall…glad you are still ok…diagnosed just after me I think?

SV he’ll be ok look out for him getting a bit grumpy or dropping off the back….I find a weak carb solution in my camelback keeps me stable sugars wise and cereal bars every 1.5 hrs if v hard (gels if racing) help

if you all stop for a chat ask him if he wants to test his levels only takes a min

oh and carry a 250ml carton of oj/apple juice and a bag of jelly babies just in case…very unlikely he’ll have a hypo if his sugars are ok starting out and follows advice above!

This is the wrong place to ask mate….they will be telling you you dont need gears, SPDs are wrong and suspension is overrated!

It does depend where you ride but a light 120mm travel full sus will cope with most UK riding pretty well I reckon

Is your local bike shop road orientated?…as a quick check ask him what tyre pressures they advise…above 35psi should sound alarm bells!

    whytetrash

Don’t bikes like that not comply with BS whatever?…thought they had to be pretty much ready to ride when they leave the shop?…been out of the trade for years mind :D

Yeah Flippinheckler…always think about those lads from Rhyl CC when I pass the spot….rode with them a fair bit….such a tragic waste of life…RIP Thomas, Wayne, Spanish Dave and Maurice…..such a sad time for all the families of those involved in the latest two accidents
