You need juggluco on your phone and xdrip on your garmin… miou miou/ bubbles no longer required, I’ve got this on my fenix and at a glance bg readings are amazing 😀 best advice is to join freestyle libre geeks group on Facebook… super helpful bunch …. I was struggling to get results ended up with a guy offering to give me a call to talk me through set up. … ive not updated my phone as don’t want to risk having to faff about!

Regarding masks etc I drill hundreds of holes in carbon daily working for a very risk averse organisation who have zero concerns about carbon dust! We’re literally made of the stuff! Get a carbon splinter and that’s taken far more seriously as the body doesn’t recognise it and expel it like wood or metal splinters… so glove up folks!

Used to host a Fearless one at Llandegla mid February… all the runners would be well ahead after the first run… fun reeling them in on the bike…. especially when it was snowy… half of them were on borrowed bikes with 50psi in the tyres to make them faster! Lots of bambi on ice action 😉

It seems to choose random German language rock bands for me… now chalked up in the “tried it once and didn’t like it category” 😒

Better still, Asgard could sell an embiggening kit to make it longer!

If they could manage that I’m sure they’d no longer have to mess about with bike sheds for a living 😉

BC insurance used to be pretty flakey if you looked at the small print, especially if any payments were involved… it was 10 years ago that I did my TCL MBL qualifications though!

New model army in Manchester last night were brilliant, moshpit was lively as always, great set list too… only downsides were £6.25 pints(glad I was driving) and £4 to leave jacket in cloaks… expected it to be dry cleaned for that😉 combination of gig and 5 hour gravel ride yesterday means I’m feeling pleasantly battered this morning

Most vets will loan you a trap

We had a feral Tom that was attacking our two and costing us a fair bit in vets bills, the vet commented on the frequency of our visits and my 10 year old daughter told her I’d tried to catch Applebum (feral tom) the vet said ” that’s a lovely name” Megs replied “it’s because of his balls”🤣

Anyway I borrowed the trap and proceeded to catch every cat in the village except Applebum! Eventually I got fed up of feeding them all and stopped putting fresh food in the trap, after a couple of days Applebum appeared to appreciate stale catfood and got himself trapped!

Swift visit to vets for castration (FOC) after which the vet advised me to release him back on his own territory! No chance!

Dropped him off 8 miles away on a rough arse estate, parting words were let’s see how tough you are now mate!”

I’ve got the GV 500 but not used yet… 18.5° on Marin Siabod loop 2 weeks ago meant shorts and short sleeves 😳 certainly bright and a really nice fit though 👌

Apparently Castelli have access to a fabric with identical performance

It’s a truly amazing fabric… its super breathable and as waterproof as a black bin bag!

Yep and love it!done the last 8 years of NWCX North Wales league it’s brilliant tough racing (non BC) so more interesting courses and we race for just over an hour usually 😀 whatever level you’re at you’ll end up battling someone…. super motivation to keep the fitness up over the winter and cheap as chips (60 quid to enter series) JUST DO IT!

Aviva and quote me Happy and go compare seem to have a 5k limit on bikes (unless I’m mistaken) so don’t waste your time if you ride something more valuable! Any suggestions for posh bikes insurance? 😉

First round of the North Wales league yesterday… mostly dry in gorgeous sunshine… paced it quite well so reasonably happy but one off and faffing with insulin pump cost me some time… helping set up the day before gives a slight advantage too! Looking forward to next one

Thanks for the advice folks! Regards a better sleeping bag, I’ve actually got about 6 and can cope with any conditions… but only one is anything like compact enough for bike packing 🙄

Don’t do it! Cheap plasticy unreliable levers, grim chainline on mates Open made it really noisy… she bought it as was having the bike built when nothing else was available…. recently swapped to Sram red instead… way nicer!

Yes I did it last year…. after being postponed a couple of times, big moorland loops, fun from memory but it had lashed it down the day before so was boggy in places… home made cakes on the 2 feed stops…. the rocky road was lush! Yep I’d do it again!

Thanks folks , I’ve asked if he’s in BC as Leigh Day made it pretty easy for me, his wife took phone numbers of a few witnesses plus neighbour who was going to drive his bike back to her so should be ok on that front

If its on a plane surely its covered for loss or damage anyway as part of your baggage? Mates had damaged snowboard bag replaced by airline and I know BA fully kitted out a couple who’s bags they lost who were in the UK for a wedding… few years ago now though

Literally every other shop around the towns locally seemed to be a bike shop…. a lot of them full of some lovely bits of kit, I’m sure a bit of emailing will get you sorted. Of the ascents the one from Sault was the prettiest and easiest I’d say

Bollox couldn’t have got this anymore wrong! Booked avoriaz week or so later French ban UK visitors… last weekend paid extra with same company WeSki to switch to Switzerland…. and now macron caves in and France has some silly cheap deals… should have taken a refund! I know first world problems 😉

For some reason they leave the first line of my address off… leads to very confused amazon drivers! One randomly left a pair of tyres somewhere and it took a very long time to sort refund so tend to avoid them now

4 (late 40s early 50s) of us got the week booked off work 22nd to 29th Jan … usually we leave it till 2 weeks before to ensure good snow and grab a last minute deal… does the hive mind think that’s still the best option in current climate? 🤔
