Wolverine AM TCS 2.2 would be perfect if you get on with the 2.1

I’m finding the WTB Wolverine very good , they roll very fast and seem to have a lot more grip than comparable fast tyres plus the TCS 2’2 are light and tubeless ready

i found they rolled really well but grip was only ok , what put me off was that a few of the side knobs tore off after about three rides so in the bin they went

I ride there almost every tues evening and have enjoyed those trails for years but the forestry must of been pi-sed off by the ridiculous amount of litter people have left up there , it is a shame but i can see there point as if you can carry the bottles and cans up there you can take them home too .

It’s not just Abergele that’s got the litter problem either as while at the Marin last week a group of local walkers were going round the car park filling binbags and it was riders because it was gels energy bars and old tubes .

I used Black Chilli MK 2′ protection last year in a 2.2, but although they were fast rolling due to the high thread count lost a few side Knobs as there seems to be no rubber between the thread , so i’m a little worried of the reliability of conti tyres .
Also everybody i know that’s used Schwalbe have split them , the Aspen look good and i’ve got a unused Monorail ust that i could pair it with .

LLandegla technical ?? llandegla is a giggle but by no stretch of the imagination technical , but don’t get me wrong ridden at speed can really catch you out as the local A&E will tell you , Penmachno is very good and looks far more natural but does hold water in places .

    Have a good ride

Have tried the 2.1 and it seems grippy and fast rolling though a bit small , so might keep it for my summer front tyre to go with a semi slick rear for a fast combo

It doesn’t thread into the frame so will just push through , i just used the 5mm allen key and tapped it with my palm , plus the allen key can keep the shock in place until you put your new bolt back in

Stevewhyte try dropping your psi to about 30-35psi MAX off road it’ll be MUCH faster as it’ll roll smoothly over thing instead of being deflected away from them .
The only time 50psi would be faster is on the road .

Were you using Knee warmers as it’s amazing how many dont cover their knees up when it’s cold .
Have you moved your cleats or changed your bike setup in any way ?

What size is the highroller if 2.35 it goes on the front and advantege rear . if 2.1 they’ll go the other way round

your as much to blame old boy

because when you attack the descents sometimes mistakes can happen resulting in a fall (3 times last year and once already this year ) , and as most times it’s my knees that get battered , that then has resulted in time off the bike which i really dont want .
