I’ve a feeling he may end up retiring and have to give the Daily Mail/Express the money back that he sued them for last month for alleging he was going to retire.

Then again, havent you ever sent your CV to a company that may or may not want/need your services?

If only he’d had such a PR machine for his 4 years on Tyneside, fans might consider him a worthwile signing as it was we got nowt from him or his PR machine apart from a few goals and bandages.

My mate found out recently thanks to the wonders of DNA that he most certainly is not the daddy

Eastenders could’nt have come up with a better storyline……or more depressing. I can’t work out if I’m still a godfather or not

I left almost 10 years ago and some guys I know who left around the same time as my have rejoined in the last 2 years, probably only around 32-34. I don’t think either have any kids though.

    Big/tough decision though mate.

My spuds and toms are flying this year, carrotts, lettuce and onions starting to look good to. Used the corriander in a curry last week, was quite nice!

Congratulations on still being alive. We had a guy at work 2 years ago did the same with an “empty” hydrogen cylinder, now has a even smaller cock and badly burnt ball bag 8O.
You may as well weld some legs on it now.

If the tax man knocks on your door, just quote him some of the guff MP’s have been spouting recently.
On a serious note I think Farmer John has it right and you should be fine.

Barnsleymitch, don’t go to NR for this kind of stuff. I worked there for a while selling it with mortgages…”not worth the paper its written on” was one angry caller after his claim was denied by the company.
I always found that it was overpriced and the small print was tiny. It was embarassing trying to sell it.

I have a car on my drive with no mot and no tax (sorn) its not insured as I’m using my company car. Can I drive it to a garage get it mot’d and then get it taxed and sell it? When do you get an arse kicking first, no tax, no mot, no insurance? I’m guessing insurance is a must but can you drive on the roads without tax to get the mot done? its a bit of a catch 22.
I’ve no luck whatsoever and would doubtless be pulled over 150yards down my street.

Can’t normally get through a whole QT, but last night was very good. Beckett was squirming throughout, the guy from mcDonalds probably couldn’t believe his luck, normally a great target for the public and MP’s alike nobody once mentioned obesity or school dinners.

Going to Durham on Saturday for my first test match, one look at the forecast and i may end wet drinking tetleys all day. Not all together bad but I would prefer some cricket. Bought the tickets weeks ago, now there doing bogof offers…..bugger.

We’ll probably get 10 overs and one ball and won’t be able to get the money back.
Listen to me the bloody optimist….

I work for a very large German company who took over my very large UK based multinational almost 3 years ago. Because one of our divisions had a weak 1st quarter the company decided that some of us would be made redundant and others would be asked to take unpaid leave (ranging from 10-30 days). It was made clear that this was being done to maintain the profit margins that the CEO had promised to the major shareholders (3 german banks). Not everyone has to take the unpaid leave and its not clear if the top guys will be doing it, but the whole thing boils my p!ss

I’m ahead of target, as are most of my sales colleagues, yet it seems to me the German side of the business are taking the opportunity to cut the business down to bare bones.None of this is happening anywhere else around the global business, just the UK.

When I voiced my concerns to my line manager he said “if you dont you might be out”

I have an o8 new stylee edge mondeo estate (edge is the base model) its a 125psi 1.8 tdci and I can get 50mpg for round he doors and 55-60 on long runs. Cruise control as standard. Got it last August and have done 24k faultless miles.

If your buying just for lugging bikes and family then it does fit the bill. Check serving costs on an Audi against the ford, (mines company so I dont have to consider the costs)

2ns hand motors seem to be holding there prices but I reckon you should still get a good model from a dealer for 5-6k

Built a raised bed this afternoon from some decking planks lying behind the shed, just come in out of the afternoons sun. Great day in the garden.
My spuds are flying high, chives and coriander are coming nice, beetroot and toms are doing well.

Raised bed will get some carrots and onions I think, but not sure if I should wait till next year

To be honest, I’m not to bothered about how good/bad a place is I just like to ride. I get to Nottingham about twice a month and never miss a chance to ride there (not that its anywhere near Nottingham really), I always feel good after a run out there. Just wanted to tick the box being relatively close to (Thetford)it. Plus I’m going down in work time, and if it don’t light the fire I won’t bother with it in my own time!

My company is currently asking me to volunteer on a compulsory basis to work for upto 30 days without pay. (we made £500m + profit last year) I feel a bit upset about this, but our shareholders demand this to maintain the profit margin. (3 very large German banks)

3 years ago I went down to my local Comet/Currys retail park jobby and checked out the latest in LCD tv’s. We spotted the one we quite fancied , checked out the spec and went home to order it online and have it delivered to the house 2 days later from the Currys I had been in. Woo Hoo big win for me saved £250 on tv and stand + free delivery.

12 months later TV was going for £300 quid less than what I paid for it. Not so woo hoo now.

I think now is the perfect time for haggling in most marketplaces, my customers think they can haggle with me over my products and frankly my targets say they can haggle all day as long as I sell!

Would petrol work on the wooden patio furniture he managed to dump a puddle on as well?

worst thing is, I asked a mate to do the job and they couldn’t even take care on the job when I’d went to the trouble of shifting everything for them (clearly not far enough away!)

Today I took my eleven year old to the dental hosp in newcastle to see a consultant regarding her teeth, they look a lot like the photo above and the dentist said exactly the same thing as Midlifecrashes dentist did.
give it 18months and come back and we’ll see where we are then.

Just gor back from Barcelona a couple of hours ago. As you do, I had a couple of beers over the last couple of days and using that time honoured scale of measure…..

1 large beer and 1 small beer = 7 euros and that was in a locals bar nowhere near La Rambla. However, if you stuck with the bottles you never paid more than 2.5 euros, I moved to bottles after the first pint left a bitter pill to swallow.

A few years back I saw an episode and when the young couple were stood at the bottom of a fairly decent garden looking back at the house the girl piped up "oh look? its semi detached on one end!"

Anybody see that episode of house in the sun thing with Jermaine Defoe’s ex girl friend, she was going round loads of million pound pads and kept going on about the funny wallpaper when the presenter head in hands replied "it marble, there wall tiles"

    Priceless

My payments have dropped £175 in the last few months, so I went into the local Barclays and they just accept cash amounts from me and it gets taken off the balance next day.

When rates where high it might have been worth putting the cash in an account and saving up the interest, but really whats the point when rates are so low…pay it off now and get the bills down for the future.

Most trackers tend to have unlimited amounts, fixed etc tend to be 10% of mortgage balance without any penalties.

If you pay off £100 per month extra its worth around £1400 when you chuck on the interest saving
