What about his Dad Sid Little? (is not his Dad, but artistic licence(to kill)) Northern Bond, 2nd hand vectra, baddies from Fleetwood, sexy women from Wigan as Bond girls?

    Whats not to like?

That sir is a great photo!

Got 32k on a 14 month old passat and its starting to rattle in places around the dashboard and the boot area (estate). Just pleased its a company motor and not really mine to worry about cos I would hate to have to try and take things to bits to fix on a budget

+1 countzero, may as well wait to see who comes along a bit closer to the end date for DC (who has been an excellent Bond)
Would prefer to see a Brit if I’m honest rather than another US celeb type actor

isn’t there a rule of manufacturers now that says you cant fettle your own car cos our dealers need to make £50 an hour for 10 mins work?

no pics sadly, but if you google image it you will see how fugly it was.
a nice green raleigh amazon which I had bought of a mate cos he bought a 6th hand white ford fiesta, I had it for another 3 years before leaving it at Faslane for a mate of another boat. Must have weighed about the same as a submarine, and it was probably worse than a sub at going uphill.
    I loved it.

EDIT: just clicked on another google image and it directed me to this thread!! another lucky owner

*Please note that free parking at Park and Ride sites is only available to those people purchasing a Park and Ride bus ticket and using the bus service as the service is financed by passenger fare income. Please do not park and walk or park and cycle from the sites, otherwise you may receive a penalty charge notice.

Sorry to keep bumping this thread, but just spoke to them again and I’ve been looking at the wrong wheelies website
should have been looking at bikereplacement.co.uk which has completely different prices to the wheelies website, though this is the website I was pointed to in the first place.

And after a bit of confusion regarding rrp’s for bikes which still has me confused (1600 on one site and 1800 on the other) I have ended up paying £200.01 for my excess and the extra amount I have to pay for the bike on top of what they offered me (£1466)
Oddly he says my excess is £100 and that is what he has to pay Halifax (insurer) and the £100.01 is the difference for the bike less my 25% discount.

I’m happy with all that, except the excess on my policy says £200.

    Awaits phone call back……………

Do you suffer the symptoms when not riding? Say in a sitting position or when driving?
Take a bit of care if your touching toes to stretch hams, it may be that there is a disc problem and you should actually be doing extensions the other way. Best consult a physio if this is the case.
Definatley do the core work, but consider lying flat on your front and raising yourself up on your fore arms as if you were reading a paper keep your legs and pelvis on the ground, like all stretching hold for around 30 secs, 3 times 3 times a day.

Took a couple of weeks of that and core work but my back is on the way back!

I like stott, he fits for me. I asked Rankin once what he thought of the actors and he kinda ducked and asked what I thought. He had just signed about 100 paperbacks for my sisters bookshop so was possibly short on words.

I love driving anywhere but motorways, it just seems to be the place people forget how to drive.

I must undertake more people than I overtake simply due to them not moving over whilst they update there facebook status or put on lippy or scratch there nads or sit dreaming about x factor or whatever it is those morons do……….

read it for years and years now, I used to pick up the odd MBR but not for about 18 months. Only realised last week could be a premier person, not sure what it means yet but I can read reviews on bikes which is what i wanted to do.

I read it for what it is, a mag about bikes and bits and people who ride, I’m a simple guy and my needs are the same.

I once picked up mbr for the free tool, made of plasticene (sp) beware of greeks bearing gifts and all that

After Neeson’s Taken roles I could kind of seen him doing it, but tom bloody cruise???
he was ok in samurai but everything else he’s done should be on the bonfire.

I read a James Elroy book years ago and then saw James Woods play the lead in an awful film, way off course

Junkyard, havent got pictures anywhere but on my PC so not sure if I can post them up. I thought they needed to be hosted somewhere, flickr etc

Anyway, I went for a spin on a camber yesterday and as Wheelies have one on there site and I liked the ride I very much, cant beleive how much bikes have changed in the 7 years since I bought my stumpy. So when they ring me in the morning I going to go for that :D.

What is it with Trek and collections?

There is a couple of decent Trek bikes on there but I’m kinda heading toward a Camber as its a bit similar to my stumpy in many ways.
Like the Lapierre as well, test riding time…

They have offered me £1466 if I buy with them and 25% discount on anything over that, nothing for accesories (thats the insurance company).
Not sure if I what to go FS or go decent HT. Why cant I just have my stumpy back  thieving gits.

When the police came round to mine on saturday morning they hinted that they could have staff permanently looking for bikes such has the rise in thefts been noticed in the NE, mine went from my garage (Gateshead) last weekend.

Think i’m looking at £750 if I dont go with them, to make matters worse the insurance on the house that covers the damaged garage door that they got in through has been knocked back by insurance, they offered £50 for a new lock and handle. Not wanting to do this I am shelling out £700 for a roller door so this has put a squeeze on what cash I have to add to any payout from insurance.

I was told today I had £1k to spend on a bike and I got 25% off accessories, however there isnt much available similar to my Stumpy fsr without me putting in around £500 myself.
Think I’ll go back to insurance and chance my arm as they said I was getting nothing for the extras fitted to the bikes, lights computers etc. shy bairns get nowt and all that

something to do with them never getting a champs league point away from home I think, might be wrong. Oh and they were playing Barca

    +2 binners

41 of these people will exist (should anybody vote!) at figures mentioned we are probably looking at £5m per year after cars and perks and expenses etc, of course they will each need staff and PA and driver and whatever else they can wangle, so after all that another £5m per year.

£10m a year, effect on crime and justice? negligible.
Effect on once failed councilors or politicians, nice little earner.

    + 1 druidh.

Back then he was your x factor celebrity type character who literally had the keys to anywhere. If you were some hospital for bad kids or disadvantaged it was probably seen as great PR/kudos to have someone like him patronising the establishment as it raised your profile.

Using the benny hill/love thy neighbour analogy, it was not seen as wrong it was of its time, STILL BLOODY WRONG! but safeguarding procedures and protection of vulnerable adults policies were still 25-30 years away.

He played out his fantasies in full public view and we all bought it as entertainment.

Only now when we sit back watching Panorama last night looking at the clips from the 70’s and the lines he trotted using our 2012 eyes and ideals are we disgusted because today it is undeniably paedophile behaviour writ large

I lost 2 bikes to garage break in on saturday and the police mentioned that they are getting lots of suspected stalkings of bikers.

They said my mistake was to work hard, buy a bike, buy a bike rack for the car and signpost the fact I have bikes, wash and clean my bike on the drive after a good ride and then lock them away in my garage afterwards.

They touched nothing else in my garage, power tools all over the place, cops reckon one man alone otherwise they would have taken my daughters bike aswell.

Waiting for the insurance to fleece me now, not sures who’s worse.

EDIT: I’m in the Gateshead up north not Penarth

Cheers all, didnt have specific bike insurance but they were covered by the house insurance, hadnt ever thought of special insurance just for the bikes, which is my own personal crime as there are more stolen threads on this site than owt else, lesson learnt the hard way.

I will start looking this week, but I doubt the insurance will ever cover the real value of the bike to me.

    similar but slightly different situation.
I was working at an event at the weekend and took lots of photos of my companies products in use at the event as well as photos of other things. My camera, not supplied by work, nobody asked me to take the pictures but the event was interesting and I usually take my camera most places.
I sent a picture to a colleague who works in the marketing team and asked if he thought he could use it for some literature he was hoping to have printed. He said yes and I should send him other similar photos.
I didnt get paid for the weekend work (take a day off in leiu, dream on!) never have been paid for weekends.
Should I get some kind of payment for the photos or named in the credits or another day off in leiu?
Not wanting to put a pro snapper out of work for the day, but some stuff turned out pretty good and figure it would be good to use it rather than go to the cost of mocking up the situation with actors and getting in a pro. Save the company a few quid and they might think better of you (I know, MUG) my company are not known for there benevolance.
Anyway, cash, credit, holiday or lesson learned?
