reminds me of 2 blokes from safestyle about 15 years ago, mrs lwt them in. We had 3 windows in the front of the house all the same size and 2 in the back both same size. Started at £5k, they did all the sales patter (that I usually spout) and then came down to £4k after the oh so surprising call to his boss (or his mum) I shut the door on them very quickly.

When you can flick through a dulux colour card with interest.

When you’ve made 3 posts on this thread and shown restraint as you could have posted 20 times.

We have some family just outside Bournemouth and hoping to head down again in October half term time, I plan to let the family have a day at the castle and the train trip down to swannage and meet them here.

Have thought about getting a couple of prints done for hanging on the staircase, I have a decent DSLR but have always wondered what kind of image quality do the printers need (no saying my pics are crap or owt!) but do they need a raw/fine image?

I’m not a gadget nerd, but I’m sat with a couple of quid spare and have been looking at one of the kindle hd fire things, and now I am followed around by them thanks to google ads and the like on every website I visit.

I think I might treat myself to a new toy for my holiday this year which will involve lying reading in the sun

Yeah? Plans to limit bonuses and high tax rates seem to be scaring off all those financial types and causing chaos in the financial markets as the politicians on the right have suggested

you complain to the council about street lights being out and danger to the public, and after 3 weeks and 6 emails/phone calls which go unanswered you flounce and look up local councillor and contact him.

+1 for watching out for charges, as mentioned some are now charging up to £25 a year for managing the fund (not unusual in funds, but a bit off really in this case) pretty soon the initial £250 from the government will all go to bank/investment company in fees……..now thats a new idea

Councils in the UK are largely not bothered about funding sport I reckon unless it comes with gold medal world record holders every time.
My mate runs a kids football club, he has four small size football pitches, costs him £7k a year in rent before a ball is kicked, the field had not been used for years as anything but a dumping ground for burnt out cars and rusting fridge freezers. He took over the land and creaated something for the local kids, everything he does on the land has to be done through council.
he could get a quote for a perimeter fence for 10k he goes to council for planning permission and they say it has to be an approved supplier, money has to be payed to council and they will appoint supplier…cost 15k. many more stories like that.

try a company called leengate valves, they might have something.
in a previous life we used to get all manner of fittings from them.
you’ll have to google them, think they were notts based.

    MSE here as well

Got stung a few years ago by not knowing that the PC I had which came with Norton also had a box ticked on the Norton website which billed my credit card year after year for renewal.
Thankfully after the first year I binned the card.

I’ve just spent the last hour watching that, fantastic!

Having just viewed the ‘has your life gone according to plan thread’ I’d say that whatever I had done it wasnt a patch on that guys strength of character, resolve and most definately woodworking skills and knowledge and understanding of the world around him.

    Cheers or the link.

never had any plans for life really, just kinda went with the flow, and as I flowed along I realised I should maybe have had a couple of plans. I wasted 16-22 then 22-28 was great but ultimatley I didnt achieve anything, then have spent 30 to now (41) trying to look like I new what I was doing and why I was doing it.
I have no expectations of anything or anyone, I just kinda take as i find and accept what comes.

WCA – the ground floor of the house is level and so I have got myself a stool on casters, now its not going to win any funding on dragons den and its not perfect but its working a bit, I got some knee pads off my joiner neighbour and I can now make my own cuppa and get stuff out the kitchen cupboards! Small things mean a lot.
Mrs101 is a bit nervy cos she thinks I’m going to fall of it.
I read your old threads on your accident and figure Ive got it easy compared to you.

What about a mid top? Still get the stand up space for cooking and a bit extra storage, and its still keeping the heat in.

3 weeks into a broke ankle (pins and plate, might get some pics from hosp tomorrow) and whilst the weight is starting to emerge round the middle the muscle on my calf and thigh is disappearing quickly.
Keeping the weight off for me will be down to carbs & drink I reckon.
Keeping off the drink is easy as my loo is upstairs and going up and down every bottle of bear is enough to keep me sober.
Trouble is Mrs 101 is working full time and I cant cook so when she gets in from work its food thats easy and quick, so pasta is featuring quite often.
Back to hospital tomorrow for new x-rays and cast replacement, cant wait to scratch my foot!

if you have put down a deposit with a company, you should already have an idea about the quality of there work so worrying about leaks with pop tops shouldnt really be a concern that isnt addressed by a warranty.
If youve already been a camper in the past then you know how much you can pack in your car and how much you ‘stuff’ you need and how much is a waste of time bringing with. Plan the same way when packing the van.

Ive not helped at all but good luck and enjoy, wish I had the balls to put up the money
