To those doubting the market…. You’d be surprised.

I don’t doubt it at all mate, plenty opportunities. Where you thinking of setting up Jesmond or City centre or somewhere? Lots of dentists I have as customers have given it a go over the last few years, can be quite a money spinner. Good luck

Normally get my beer direct from the brewery, Hambleton Ales in North Yorkshire. Call in on my way past when at work. Crate of 8 bottles of gluten free beer, normally 6-8 cases does it for a good while.
    Wine from supermarket.

I came back from sea after a 3 month patrol and sported 2 months worth of captain birdseye man fluff. It took me hours with a pair of nail scissors and a razor to chop down the foliage.
Now I merely sport some over long stubble, much easier to manage.
You can’t beat a good hot/wet shave though.

They’re not nice I’ve chased them from mne in the past.

    But,

I’d be more concerned about the fact you keep your bikes in a shed which you say is falling apart anyway. Don’t make it easy for the swines that would like to get your hands on your wheels.

    Or,

Let wasps build a home in shed and hey presto instant retributon for would be bike theives

Without wanting to make light of a tough situaton for the OP, who’s weekly photo challenge threads are enjoyable, I think this thread has got classic STW written all over it.
I say nick a bus, complete with your bike and just drive around countryside to top locations have a quick ride and then push on, make sure you take your phone and keep us all upto date with daily thread additions. You could even pick STWers up all over the country.

Next weeks weekly photo challenge your bike next to a bus?? But not just any bus it has to the OP’s bus

I quite often think some of my colleagues are a-holes, but after watching 2 episodes of this I almost consider myself lucky that I work with ‘normal’ people.
What a bunch of self serving tossers, wont bother next week as its getting as gringe inducing as watching the office but for different reasons. I’m oot….oh no thats another show

    my sisters take on this

‘I hate women who think the only way to be taken seriously is to be total bitches and wear ridiculously high heals and the blokes well they usually social rejects who spent their school dinner hours selling sweets to their class mates at 50% mark up and thats what they base their success on’

I just think the characters are getting more like BB freaks, as pointed out already its entertainment and not serious business. Mitchell and Webb have it right in that sketch.

+1 for hats, in particular bobble hats on teens in the summer, my neighbours kid (bobble hat afficianado) was bought a fiesta 07 plate, when he passed his test it lasted exacty 1 year before he wrote it off in a boy racer related incident, what did they do 2 weeks later went out and bought him an 07 sxi astra in bright red.
That’ll teach him to be careful on the roads and learn a lesson.

He’s going to be a busy bloke, job for life there judging by the amount of ‘stolen in Bristol area’ threads on here over the years.

At least its positive action, though no consolation to those who have already lost out.

Macavity, that you tube film is great, my dad sat and watched it last night with me and didnt shut up for hours telling me tales of the Batey brothers (him with the made up stammer) He’s 72 now and I grew up with him being away for weekends racing and midweek 100 mile training rides, so listening to him chat on last night about trips to Ireland and the Isle of Man with his old team mates was great, you made an old man very happy (and his son)

mate of mine was pissed in afghanistan one nght and bought/won a merc clk or some such for £16k, he wasnt due home for 2 months, that took a bit of explaining.

Though the funniest has to be my mate Steve who thought he had spotted the bargain of a life time (some life!) when he saw a brand new pair of Merrell boots that he had been after for £12.
When they arrived after he ‘won’ (the uncontested auction) he realised they were cheap for a reason one size 8 one size 9. He’s been walking round in circles ever since…. we call him village

Many, many riders, better than Wiggins have tried and failed to do the Giro Tour Double, It’s not easy, and that’s a massive understatement

There is only about 7 riders who have done the double in the same year and its a who’s who of cycling.

What it does show is the media are following up on last years results and keeping cycling in the news. When was the last time the Giro was talked about on the 6 o’clock news?

Either way, things are shaping up well. Froome rode well on the tour of Romandie last week and Wiggins was looking comfortable in the Trentino before his bike failed, Looking forward to Saturday. Could be another good year for cycling.

A few weeks ago the Archbishop of Canterbury made some comments about the governments social policies and the risks with changing the benefits system to those who were vunerable etc etc, I’m all for a bit of interaction from the church every now and again where politics are concerned, however some tory back bencher told him to wind his neck in and concentrate on God.

I would love to see somebody like Fergy or Warnock now have a go at CMD and tell him to wind his neck in and get on with the day job.

Though judging by the stress and worry lines on the brows of CMD and Osborne and Botox bonce Hunt they dont have day jobs…..
