Spicer’s post also suggests Loughborough only has one dodgy part of town, and I can think of at least four. 🙂

I will not stand for this.

Depends which off-piste. Some dries pretty quickly after rain. There are other parts I’ve only seen dry for one week a year!

You can pick up a pretty good quality road bike for a few hundred quid these days (Boardman, Specialized, Giant, Decathlon, etc). Saves getting rid of the mtb. As for SWMBO, surely you earn your own cash, and spend it how you like?

I’ve been looking for something similar. I’ve found these but they ship from China, so may as well get the US version.

Can you get a gpx of the route from Strava or similar?

I’m facing the same decision on my road bike. You won’t be able to stop thinking about the new stem until you buy it and fit it. When fitted you will feel better and you will also like your bike more, and ride it more!

Sizing looks pretty sensible. Wouldn’t you want a CX bike to be a bit more ‘flingable’ off-road? Ie, buy a smaller sized frame.

No mention of Aru? Be interesting to see him match Froome.

I’m in the same boat and am experimenting with saddle tilt to get the saddle resting on the ‘right bits’. Amazing how much 1 or 2 degrees of tilt forward or back can change where your sit bones engage with the saddle.

Is it a carbon fork steerer? Which expander device did you use to attach everything? Thinking of going down the carbon fork route.

Go for the lightest one and/or the one in the nicest colour.

I’d only choose discs over Ultegra rim brakes if I was going to be riding in the wet. They do look good on road bikes though!

I think it would be a bit off to delete this thread when it informs any potential buyer of the misleading website information.

Has the website wording been changed now to confirm it is a Chinese frame?

There are cheap chinese copies around for about £3/4 on Amazon, etc, these are the shit ones with the ‘noggin’/protrusion at the bottom which is not deep enough. The Garmin boxed ones from Wiggle etc for £8+ all work fine.
