    Enjoy.

Report back and say its the worst bike ever please. I really want one but don’t have the money to do anything about it.

I can confirm the speed bumps have gone and cycling is not allowed there, I may or may not have cycled down it a few weeks ago. In a way some of prevention there was understandable, people’s front/back doors come out on to the alleyway and some people on bikes really don’t seem to think about where is good or not to go fast.

…that was fun. I think I managed 12th in sport. That’ll do me.

Fun little course and the weather was/still is amazing. The sandy bits made for some ‘interesting’ moments, especially just before the finishing line corner 🙂

thanks njee…I’ll test the water with Sport, will be first xc race in 20 years.

Now time to find a suitable bike, the joys of n+1 🙂

Masters is for ageing experts at the front. You could go to Sport which is up to age 39

I am just double checking this is the case as I am a bit puzzled as to what I should enter. I was going to go master simply given my age, hadn’t realised it was for the older expert. So Sport is a step up from Open?

Another blimey here. We used to have one in the garden when I was a kid – dad was rather fond of it. He warned us never to go near it but every now and again the football may have wandered that way which led to some daring crawling and stick usage.

Just got back down south from a brilliant weekend. Now tucking in to a hard earned beer.

Chap on stage 4 didn’t look happy. Even when I fell flat on my face in to the mud trying first to cycle up, then to run up a hill he didn’t muster a smile. It probably was cold there though with wind being funnelled through.

Stage 5 was brilliant today, no wonder you saw all smiles there Trout. Proper fun.

looked like a shampoo/yoghurt/special K/etc video to me albeit with more bunny tails/ears than usual and a bloke riding his bike. A bit crap, in an advert kind of way.

being a **** who lives here I find the rude ones are the home-counties commuters who are stressed from their travels. The ***** who live here seem quite relaxed to me. Must have been here too long. ****s!

So so close for the breakaway. Involved lots of shouting from the sofa, it didn’t help them.

Not only are they shitty beer mats They’ve nicked the R out of the tour de France logo.

Perhaps I am niaeve but I am enjoying the way Nibali is riding, so much so i am watching the highlights having watched it live. He is earning his (probable) victory.

as above, I have been looking into this and if you don’t want to buy some ‘Business Intelligence’ software then it seems you need to be pretty handy with java (which I am not).

I’d love to be able to do some of the stuff here[/url] but other stuff seems to get in the way, like work…or singletrackworld

Unless you’re frightened by beautiful, intelligent women

I am. (that’s not unique to beauty or intelligence though, or women)

Still, MAH and LaLa I like very much, I just wish MAH play more breezyblocky stuff when she is doing her supply teacher act.

I must admit I cheered too when loic bruni (or logic Bruno as my phone insists on calling him) came a cropper. I was expecting gwin’s tyre to catch around a tree trunk or something similar. I was expecting the worse. Brilliant entertainment though and a great win by ratboy. Can’t wait for Meribel, going to that one.

Carbonnara done johndohs way up there ^^ (without the onion though) or Puttanesca – tomatoes, anchovies, olives, capers, chili and garlic.

It was the carbon bikes’ maiden voyage last Sunday. I think the owner was very pleased indeed. Mine is the alu version and I am still very very happy after 2 years. From the small amount of comparison we did they ride very similarly as you’d expect – any difference was more to do with set-up. The carbon is 1-2lbs lighter and therefor maybe a little more sprightly from the off and up the hills. The carbon should be stiffer too but I can’t say I have had any problems with a flexier rear end (probably don’t ride it hard enough).

The clutch in mine lasted about a year. The rest of the mech works as it should. I have a new one waiting to go on, hopefully the clutch will last longer on that one.
