Convert, we all do stuff that others could consider us to have the selfish gene. Probably even you.

Thanks ssstu. If I remember correctly you had an ltc and angleset didn’t you? Would you recommend a tweek? Did it make much difference?

Maybe a stupid question but an angleset, say a +/-1 degree set, do they allow that option only? That is you set it up 1 degree steeper or slacker. Or do they allow settings within that range so for example you could put it back to 0 if wanted?

Sorry for hijack but considering tinkering and the code helps this urge.

I stayed at a really nice campsite in Suffolk a few years back. Everything had been perfect until the final night when until my then girlfriend let out a blood curdling scream on her way to bed at midnight. It seems we parked our tent on a nest of earwigs or something, there were hundreds of the things climbing up the poles and then dropping into the inner tent (tent has seen better days). It was like something from a nightmare, earwigs everywhere. Slept in the car that night.

noahhowes I too am a soft southerner running HDs, I ran them last year in the Ardrock and they were fine. I did not win mind, however I also didn’t rip a tyre. Your HDs will be fine.

(you may see me sitting at the side of the course this year crying because I have a hole in my tyre now I have typed this)

That’s Pest. I stayed round the corner from your hotel. Some nice restaurants and pubs around there (one really good one just on the eastern side of the city market whose name I have forgotten). Try some unicum too.

I like Budapest, must go back.

Ah, forgot to say, the train and metro in from the airport is pretty easy too.

This thread is well (what word can i use here without upsetting the world*) innit**. Worse than one of those dramtic trailers for ‘made in newskoolplumsinmouthyuppyland’

    * probably ‘shit’
** quite like the look of the bike myself

The bit about ‘the roll’ is interesting bikebuoy, after as many years as watching it as I have I did not know that. I may now see it in a different light, ta.

    Sagan win.

I would love to see nibali attack again. A bit of extra excitement would be fun as the last stage of the tdf I always find an anticlimax.

by all accounts on the BBC it started about a week ago and nothing else in the world exists. My god I wish they would be quiet about it now.

Interesting. The images definitely remind me of some fungus fueled evenings. Is it art, not sure, does an artist needs such an elaborate tool for inspiration? I don’t know, not being an artist.

It reminds me of two things. A very futuristic batmobile type thing. And aging-Hollywood-a-bit-too-much-plastic-surgery type things. The former is good but the latter interrupts this. I don’t know what to think.

I’ve been wanting some salomon type shoes but for flats instead of spds. A mid/boot with flat sole and the lacing doohickeys would be ace please Salomon/Mavic.

I went from revs to a pike, made a massive difference. I have just got carbon rims and am still getting use to them. Very stiff and in the dry this is quite unnerving. I probably need how to learn how to ride properly now.

When is it? Everything went so well last time (perfect weather, no mechanicals, got to dunwich for a swim as the sun rose, fry up in the pub and a place on the train from Ipswich) I am not sure I should tempt fate. However, always thought I should try it on the singlespeed one day.

I think that London and the City are two very different beasts. I have not been to leaving drinks where the leaver has to pay.

Hmmm, their ‘trust’ is quite optimistic. I’ll try ringing them for my copy rather than emailing I think.

If you have a tracking number and the online system is saying awaiting customs charge and you have not received letter, give parcelforce a ring. You can pay it over the phone or at the delivery office. I did this no problems. The letter arrived a few days later.

I feel lucky to be allowed to ride in the area. Not sure why we are not allowed to be worried that the opportunity may not be there much longer?

slight hijack, sorry, what do people use to grease the nipple rims if using carbon rims? Would carbon paste be ok?

sounds familiar. After a couple years riding my first full susser I got myself a hardtail again last year. Fell off more in a few rides than I had ever I think. Got used to it again now.

I have a one plus and can’t complain. I have never had to deal with customer support but is customer support ever that good even from the big boys? Regarding Huawei, they are rumoured to be the next nexus builders so can’t be that bad.

Another thought but possibly unnecessary. Would an m9000 brake lever work with a m785 caliper? I do realise this a very expensive way to achieve nothing but, well, just looking at options.

    whippersnapper

Ta, will have to go band as I can’t stretch to brakes as well. I am suprised there is not a workaround though.
