Thanks andybrad I keep reading the Nobby Nics have had a serious overhaul in the last one to two years, your canal towpath crash was that recently or along time ago on an older version of the tyre,
I really liked smart Sam on my 26″ last year but the options on 27.5 seem to be wired only and heavy
So it’s the ss or rr

I was lead to believe the racing Ralph and nn are the same carcass and shoulder tread pattern, but Nobby is better all year round as mud doesn’t stick , I’m thinking as we are coming into summer maybe rr, then Nobby nic back end of the year for winter

    Strava analysis. Lol

Uphill Kom he must be half my weight, on a moped.
Downhill kom, he must have a big suspension and have balls of steel or just a complete nutter.

And remember when it’s tough out their. I always think of those perfect times when it wasn’t wet, muddy, cold, too hot, wind in your face, no dog walker interruptions etc etc..
Improve your own time that’s the best you can do..

I’ve been trying for an under 10 minutes up a local climb, I’m averaging 10min 20-45 in the last few rides, my best 10.17, a damn Labrador decided to lie down across the Singletrack 100m from the end, I know that dog knew I was on strava, as it gave me that look

House door, barrel popped out on my key, new barrell fitted and 5 mins locksmith work £85

Measuring bike for new wheels, turned upside down, I have lost the slx shifter cap, luckily no mud inside,
Found replacement part online £3.49 delivered, I’m hoping another bikes shifter has the same cap cover so can switch until replacement comes

Have you looked on rosebikes or bike-discount.de they always seem to be cheaper, the Pikes were down to £475-490 a few weeks ago in an extra 20% sale

As above the QR should pull out. Otherwise are you happy. I’m trying to decide enduro over xc and the hub colour, if only they still did gunsmoke I’d have bought already

i’ve got MTR waterproof, mt500 (yellow), singletrack, hummvee and the MTR, my go to pair are the singletrack ii.

the mt500 yellow front just doesnt come clean, mud and oil prints all over.

the mtr waterproof are great for a very wet day.. and keep your pants dry :0)

FFS, i’ve just been measuring up for some hope enduro wheels and turned the bike upside down, i am missing the base cap (underside plastic cover) and bolt on my slx shifter,

cant say i’ve ever lost one of these before, as they are normally screwed in and forgotten about, anyway I had a quick google and found a direct replacement spare on a site called sjs cycles £3.49 delivered.
pretty lucky i guess as its clean, considering the state of my bike on the last few rides,
I’ll email canyon but dont expect a response. I’ll update if i get one

i guess if you have a pool of bikes to use, either your own bikes or friends then buy a canyon, but if you only have one bike, buy elsewhere..

i’m not overly keen on the new III version, the pockets dont look great, do they have magnets to close?, so i stocked up on two pairs on CRC using the £10 of £75 spend, so a good price.

the MTR are a lighter endura short which fit more like a pair of boardshorts, very comfy and lightweight

I’m using the combination on my canyon and seem really good although in deep mud leaves they have tended to slide sideways my last few trips out
Roll well on the road and grip ok

I’ve ordered a nerve in skydive blue about a month ago, taking advantage of the 10% off and free delivery (although £15 for cardboard box) ordered it on a Thursday, got a delivery schedule the following day with a 10 working days SLA, so was due latest Tuesday after Easter, Dhl delivered Thursday day before Easter, very happy

Quality bike for the money although bog for low price and wasn’t sure on sizing so went cheaper,
Now the green and gold spectral is reduced to £2100 I wish I’d waited..

Since I’ve had an issue with a tyre rang the uk service desk. They asked me to email pictures which I did, no response yet after 7-8 days rubbish
