i still leave feedback and as a seller make a point of leaving feedback on payment. its not like you can leave a buyer negative feedback anyway

just curious does your frame/fork and wheels have capability to fit calipers and rotors, you may need a new bike entirely to go disc brake

vivoactive, bought for £99 on boxing day, great watch, waterproof and pretty robust although ive scratched the screen a few times, gps works great and last 7-8 hours, non gps usage the phone lasts 5 -7 days.

only failed once on a ride (due to user error), 3 click start and gps is instant, great for swimming lengths too

    now want the HR version

it seems all prices are going up, the fx rates are not in our favour and wiggle and crb merge is limiting competition.

slx m675 i’ve bought two pairs in the last few years £75 & £82, but along with the XT M785 they are getting old model now

may be worth looking at the SLX M7000 Disc Brakes due out anytime.

I got some XT m8000 at easter for £110, now seem to be £130 everywhere.
had to rebleed them, i do like them, although after another two months i think they may need a bleed again

if you are using slx/xt 10 speed shifters then the older m675 are ispec b (perfect), but if you are looking for 11 speed to connect the shifters its an ispec II connection which the m7000/m8000 range have.

I’m not a roadie but the A635 from cawthorne / Barnsley upper cumberworth, newmill to holmfirth is a popular route and nice road, way back depending on mileage go up over Holme moss to woodhead turn left back to the flouch a628 to penistone and then cut down back towards Doncaster

Or from holmfirth upto hade edge dunford bridge and down to midhopestones, stocksbridge, , but that’s a busy road

i have the dainese (large) and they are pretty comfy, offer good protection, but bulky.

i like the Bliss Arg Minimalist Knee which i have in a medium, but they are forever slipping, and i’ve torn mine, as they are more like lycra with the blue pad

    airshot works well..

topeak have a track pump style with psi storage on the side which looks good, and i think airshot have developed a similiar one now..

if you make a ghetto one, use a pop bottle, rather than water bottle they hold slightly better pressure, so may not explode in your face

Are you buying the house in sterling? If you want a medium risk investment buy shares in uk banks,
The US dollar could increase in value with the pound hitting new lows to maybe 1.2 dollars to pounds, that’s not even 10% to current rates.

Lovely looking bikes, nice colours, expensive but for me the spec is so week for the money and the suspensions seem too big for my local conditions.

Some times I wish I wasn’t such a tight northerner, let alone an even tighter Yorkshire man
Common as muck, no in West Yorkshire were every bugger has got an orange , only sc I’ve ever seen was far too clean.., nearly offered to rip it through the woods for the guy

Thanks for the quick responses, not getting shipped till 1st-5th August, had initially thought of buying some hope enduro wheels but think I’ll give the wheels a chance, I have some bladed Mavics and they are the only wheels I haven’t managed to dent, buckle, bend or flat spot, so was hoping they,d be stiffer

    I’m with woody et al,
grand central kingsx > Halifax or mirfield / Elland (tickets from £22 return)
And then a short train to sowerby or hebden bridge. Or todmordn or Rochdale

    Consider the Mary townewly loop
    http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/sites/default/files/pb_mary_towneley_loop_map.pdf

Ps. Only two bikes allowed per train, and they didn’t say anything to me a few weeks ago with a muddy bike

Tyres make a massive difference (an Apollo will likely have less chunky tyres than a mtb designed for offroad)
recording equipment will make a massive difference (my garmin vivoactive watch is 10% lower on metres climbed and distance is usually under an iPhone recording)
    Weather, wind, ground,

Unless you get in a laboratory conditions or Just Go out for a ride with a mate then it’s difficult to compare

Personally I ride better early morning,
Ps. If you wanna get better at hills move to West Yorkshire

After having a ride above oxenhope on Saturday can we add handlebar height thistles to the equation, stuck in a few deep tractor tracks they seemed unavoidable and hands got battered by them, had to stop at the bottom of the hill to
Take of gloves and remove thistles, covered in them

Damn the hipster are out today,

Such a tricky question, having drunk beer in well over 50 countries it’s a tough one,
Best pint in the last year without doubt antillia brewing in st Lucia

Although I do love German bier, it would have been far easier to ask top 10 or top 20
    It’s all Personal taste
Fraziskaner, black sheep, Guinness West Indies porter , can’t go wrong with osset brewary either

Depends on my mood and how many I plan to drink, I like an American PA but after a few that’s enough

Sounds like the wrong type of mud
    8O

Use mine around West Yorkshire, Peak District and we get wet sandstone grit, peat/moorland and regular forest floor matter and sticky wet mud, never had an issue with the rrp enduroguard neither have my mates, all year round

i sure have greyspoke, I’m gonna ride it with inners for a while to ensure the tyres get used to being seated and then have another go when i have time on my hands, i’ve read in numerous places the racing ralph arent great.

like the footy betting adverts, make it more exciting,

    £100 on out = £400
    £100 on in = £125

i’ve personally got a 44% return on my bet, so will be extremely happy or mad come friday

ebay can be a fickle beast
i bought an led screen for my gopro hero3 cost £45, i sold on the cases as i got 6 in total and didnt need one size, got £39 for them

ps.I’ve never seen the point of a reserve, when a mate can set one for you.

My first four attempts one took an hour and the other 3 took 15 mins each, on both bikes I’ve had a tyre go flat but just pumped it back up and squirted in a bit more liquid

Then I got some hope enduro wheels and racing Ralph,
I’ve now spent well over 10 hours and I just cannot get them to stay up, I bought an airshot and can get them to seat but air just flows out, I have left an inner tube in for a week and still no success
Could it be the folded tyres, is it worth getting in touch with Merlin to discuss the tyres..

    Well fecked off

agree m520/m540 are great clipless peddles, i also use M530 that has a slimlooking metal frame wraparound which are good too

i just cant get on with my specialized 2fo shoes they weigh an absolute tonne compared to regular clipless shimano shoes so my trashed and beaten m088 boot is still my choice.

for real wet and muddy i found the m424 usefull, got a few pairs at £9 from halfords last year

Some very funny comments on here, the odds have fallen on both bets now, was planning to stick £3k on remain and with the £1700 winnings buy a new bike, odds now down to 1/2

To be honest a £3k loss would be the least of my worries if Brexit happened, as the our jobs would be at risk

haha, no jealousy what so ever about cars, the majority on our roads are company cars for salesmen or on hire purchase. to show off what the occupent cannot afford nor needs.

but when someone tells me they are going on holiday or travels to xyz , then my ears prick up and the tears well up..

i’ve found if you stand up and peddle hell for leather then top 10 is doable,
you’ll then find if you look at the majority of KOMs they havent just put effort in on that one section but they’ve smashed numerous on their way..

one of our local KOMs got the majority of his KOMs on the local 30 mile bike challenge.

if you;’ve put it away slight wet, muddy, some grime then yeah they’ll go rusty, if you meticulously cleaned it after every ride then they shouldnt have rust,

    that’ll probably buff straight out.

If the constant checkin is affecting the ride, then get them told. Subtle hints,
Are you expecting an important call/ text, you got a woman on the side, what’s for tea, what time you gotta be home etc etc if it continues get even ruder

I have my phone in my pocket and generally ignore it, although will check it on a boring uphill where I am going slow and it’s not technically demanding , during footy season I’ll check my phone at 345 and again at full time
I never bother with turning the sound off, so when the eBay kerching goes off my mates generally laugh and ask what I’ve sold..
I recently got a garmin watch and that sends alerts again I’m happy to just glance at them, if something looks important then I will pull my phone out,
Ps. My missus doesn’t like me going out without my phone as I tend to go moorland and remotish places and with my previous Crash history and a&e visits I don’t blame her
