– A newly appointed representative post/reception committee being created by some international body for the arrival of alien visitors. I mean, WTF?!?

– Retired military types all of a sudden coming out the woodwork with the “…I saw it I did. Got official documentation to prove it too, which I have decided to share right now. I sound genuine because we military types are all grounded in common sense, not subjected to flights of fancy, now are we? I mean if we had an imagination/inquiring mind, that would be the career right out the window.”

Unfortunately, it's a generation thing. They have a "can't, don't, won't understand-this-sort-of-thing" approach to anything more than a simple cordless phone.

It's genuinely easier for me to sort this out and then to present them with a simple to use sorted phone.

I've got a rigid 29er with an internal hub.

This both suits my riding ability as well as my mechanical inclination.

Friendly and helpful but a bit slapdash at times.

Left a bike with a list of things that needed sorting with them. The list was lost and then they seemed surprised when I chased them up regarding the work not done.

They did a very good job on the wheels that they built up for me. Still true after a heavyish frontal impact.

On a more serious note, I have ended up with loose chain ring bolts.

Don't know whether I want to use them again…

I've got the hybrid. It's not as bulky as the TRK and more comfortable for it.
