He also told me that a root canal is only a temporary measure, as the tooth will sooner rather than later, need a crown fitted.

At the mo, I’m drinking 50/50 mixture of water & pure fruit juice.

On very long rides I’m going to start experimenting with the above but adding 40g of pure honey, 40g of maple syrup and a pinch of Morton’s Lo Salt. How big a pinch, I’m not sure. I read somewhere of adding about 3-4g in 2-3 litres of liquid.

I cleverly managed to use a concrete traffic divider as an emergency stop. The impact bent the fork but the wheel remained true.

I think that the Flow remains one of the lightest out there. It’s also rated for all mountain/down hill.

We had the same issue with my goddaughter, now six and a half.

Two rabbits, one hamster & two cats [one drowned], karked it over the course of eighteen months.

Not being superstitious types, her parents talked about pets having shorter life spans, not suffering and their spirit living on if they are remembered.

So far so good, but she is incredibly bright for her age and more difficult questions are sure to follow soon.

What disturbs me though, is that my friends garden is starting to resemble a pet cemetery. We all know how that book ended. 😯

I am surprised that so few manufacturers offer enclosed cam skewers. The ones that do, charge a premium.

The Shimano XTR/XT’s on my bike have never loosened.

I don’t trust anything else.

90mm 5 deg stem on 2mm spacer attached to On-One Mary bars here.

I don’t think think Arch rims are much cheaper, although they are lighter and I wouldn’t use these for jumping.

You are are talking about 26″ wheels? If so, Mavic might have something of interest.

I’ve got Pro 2/ZTR Flow in the front.

They Flow’s are classed as downhill rims.

This meant the wheel did not even go out of alignment when I smacked into a concrete traffic barrier hard enough the bend the front fork 😯 🙄

Wish I got them in white now. 😐
