i went and did the torridon trip with these guys last year and it was mint! there was one night we met another party that were doing coast to coast with them and theyre were a few beginners with them…very recommended though

awesome tips thanks! im at the point where i was consistently getting up on green waves…come from a snowboarding background so already done a few short turns(usually the wrong way)

ill need to have a look around for suits/boards etc…ill defo use a shop for the suit..got one for sale as it doesnt fit anymore so thatll help fund the new one

i use a xar and i love it,2 days into its new use had an otb moment which resulted in a non fatal dent in the top…still using it,saw the carbon exo skeleton in a shop once that theyve got which explains the lightness..very comfy and plenty vented for foreign sorjourns..

try a poc on..i wanted to love it but it made my swede look enormous! so it went back on the shelf :roll:

Just ride for fun…don’t make it too hard..if that means just having a short ride do it…it can take ages to get your fitness back.i rode a lot for most of last year and my fitness was really coming on,then I broke my ankle..getting back soon though..I find planning things helps

i did ben vorlich this summer sanny….its was my first munro on a bike and very good…i reckon you could do it in about 4 hours…we parked up north of callendar so it was a big day for us,the actual munro was pretty straight forward,up and down following the tourist path..very steep for the last 200 meters but still doable coming down albeit slowly..we passed 2 nutters on cross bikes going up..wtf? its definitely all-mountain on the way down…great descent

i sold a vfr 800 last year and it took all manner of top boxes…. a bit to touring for me though…gonna get something more sports this year

Take everything you would need for sitting on a hillside for about 12 hours….fold uppy seats are really good/drinks/grub etc…it’s the best wait for about 1/2 an hour of action I’ve ever done…walking or riding is the only way to get to a good spot…try and pick a place where you can see the riders coming from a distance(as they’re tramping on,even up a hill)

I could only relate With the riders at the very back and they still looked relatively fresh….enjoy! :-)

On a surf camp in morroco…avoiding everything Christmassy with ease,seems a distinct lack of turkey here.they do seem to eat everything else,had snails and sleeps head the other night..no sign of Xmas here although there was a rumour of a Christmas party on the day…I’ve heard the weather is pishy back in the uk? Nice balmy 22 here :lol:
