I heard second hand the other day (originally from some Mr Universe type) that you get more protein into your system eating a tin of tuna than you do drinking a protein drink?

I did a fair smattering of hopton Woods downhill tracks at the weekend on my hardtail 29er, . . . it was mostly held back by my summer tyres and the meager fork travel, other than that it was fine.

Maybe consider a 29er with a 120mm fork, correct tyres for conditions, . .off you go.

Mine is carbon frame with 100mm up front, I could use another 20mm for what i do on it ideally – I’ve convinced myself the frame can handle it, . .then i would be very happy.
