I’ve used Galibier many times and their value, quality of product and customer service is second to none in my opinion.

I am sure they will sort out any issues you have. In these crazy times we have to give everyone a bit of slack…

I have the Enduro-wide (is that a new standard? 😁 ) wheelset on my hardtail. Quality product and very reliable so far. Customer service is second to none.

Having run with Hunt road wheels for quite a while I have no hesitation in recommending Hunt.

    I don’t work for them btw! 😁

    Chromag Wideangle.

Buying a new Chromag frame in the UK is like getting getting a hen’s gold capped tooth, so I bought direct from Chromag in Canada. 2 day shipping. £570 delivered to my door and I dodged import tax and duty (only by luck I’m sure)

    Big BUMP!

Any snippet / glimmer of hope that we may see the 150 & 135mm 29ers hitting the shop floors early next year?

    These:

    Scarab

Wide and concave platform, multiple pin positions, adjustable pin height etc.

I have been running these for a while and they are up there with the Vaults, if not better.

Chromag Rootdown. Steel, slack, 140mm up front = mucho fun. Great on the steep and twisty stuff too.

I have beeb running a Chromag Rootdown with 140mm Pikes for the past couple of weeks. Indeed moon on the proverbial stick. A very capable bike and great on the tight and twisty stuff.

Thomson here. Great bit of kit and no issues. Tbh the cable actuated swung it for me. Plus the price was reasonable too.

Currently running 120 Minute Pro with 20mm bolt through on my hardtail. Great fork, simple reliable and stiff. Performance has been good with no issues to report. I had them serviced after a year of use by TFTuned and they said they were in great condition inside. With our weather over the past year or so (crap) I was happy with that.

I am surprised more people don’t run them to be honest.

Knolly ordered last night. I guess that closes the thread;)

I’ll pop up some pics when it arrives. I’m keen to see if it I’d a good on the trail as the hype suggests…

Northwind, I know what you mean regarding the aesthetics of the Knolly. Although the more I look at it the more I like it. The twin linkage looks a little ‘dangly’ but, going by reviews etc, it is supposed to work very well and stiff too. I love the dayglo yellow colour too!

With the kids tucked up in bed and the better half seeing sense in my madness I headed out o my local loop up to the 3 Brethern (Tweed Valley, Scottish Borders) at 11.00pm. Arrived at the summit at 11.40pm, too cold to stay about for another 20 minutes I had a dram to 2012 and welcomed in 2013 in advance! I finished the loop at 0100hrs 01/01/13. Quick shower and a tumbler of port therafter, with a bit of John Bishop for good measure.

It was a magical night. Last ride of 2012 and first of 2013 all within one ride :)

Panic over, rang them again and it seems that they have both bikes now at the store, 53cm and 56cm! Seems some numpty hadn’t checked them in on the system when they had arrived. Hopefully the 53cm will fit the bill :)
