The bike is only something cheap for the wife to occasionally use so I’ll probably go for something like this – Shimano M442 Square Taper Chainset – http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=46021

Bit of feedback for triplebuttedcycling.co.uk. I ordered a set of shifters yesterday afternoon and they arrived today. Well packaged. Best price by miles that I could find online.

I’ll definitely be using them again!

RIP Dave. Thoughts go out to your close friends and family. On the few times we met you were always great to get on with and frustratingly quick.

I’ve just bought a new leisure battery from here (they also do car batteries) http://www.tayna.co.uk/ Loads of batteries with 3-5 year guarantees if you pay a bit more.

Next day delivery and code AUTOEXP gets you a 5% discount.

    Highly recommended!

Just bought 24 x 4w Philips My vision and 8 x Philips master dimmable 4w bulbs. All warm white for the new kitchen/open plan living area. Very very pleased with them. 10x better compared to the other LED bulbs I’ve tried from City electrical and ebay.

£8.50 for the standard 4w bulbs and about £11.50 for the dimmable. All come with a 3 year warranty.

Drop me an email and I’ll give you some feedback. Had one stove installed the year before last. One about to be installed. Over the course I’ve had most of the installers in the skipton area in for quotes & used two different ones for work.

    Cheers Stuart

Floor is chipboard over wooden joists. 1M basement (if you can call it that) We’ll be starting floor up.allowing 20mm expension gap pretty much all the way around.

    main area is 6.5 x 5.5M

There will be a wood burner in the room.

We’ve got amtico in the bathroom which is nice enough but it’s not the same.

Looking at puchasing through – http://www.frenchtimberdirect.com/

Oh yeah and http://www.stanforthbutchers.co.uk/about/ They’ve won numereous pie awards over the years. A must try for anyone visiting.

I’ve forgotten how many jumper/tops & coats have been ruined with hot meaty, juicy pork pie goodness.

They were the good old days. The two places you could combine fight club with a meat market.

I’ve live just outside skipton most of my life (Carleton and Embsay). It’s a pretty good town in fairness. Some good pubs. Good riding. Some great one way dales rides by jumping on the train and cycling back to skipton.

I worked in ilkley for 9 years and never really got into the place. Very much an all show kind of town. Lots of people trying to make out they have money & a few people with massive ammounts of money.

Drop me a mail if you want any more info (email in profile)

Get engineered rather than solid – less chance of warping.

Google real oak flooring in Leeds – they are very good

Have you used this company? If so did you go engineered or solid? Looking for our new kitchen/open plan area but can’t decide with is best with dog & kids.

You need to be VERY careful with border terriers. There is a IMHO a larger than normal percentage that are overly aggressive to other dogs. We have two in our village (kept by different owners) that have to be kept away from all dogs due to agression issues. One of the owners runs several gun dogs so is well up on discipline, training etc the agression issues aren’t just how the dog has be treated/trained. He can’t even let the BT near his labs.

Our greyhound also had a very nasty run in with a border terrier that was off its lead while we were away on holiday. Results below after surgery. golf ball sized hole.

    [/URL]

Emergency surgery (massive amount of stress in having a 10 1/2 year old dog with heart problems operated on), holiday ruined after one day, had to return home.

I know my point of view is tainted but it does balance all the cute pictures people post of their dogs. Also irrelevant to breed unless you have a dog run, kennel etc no dog should be left on its own 7-8 hours a day.

Just the thread I needed. Anybody know which is better… a solid brass handle with satin silver finish or stainless steel? Seems to be most handles have a brass structure with finish applies on top, guess it could be a cost thing?

Damn this forum…It’s cost me another 70 quid. Ordered the Wherry premium kit and a box of 10 co2 cartridges.

Now any pointers to making my 1st brew the best it can be? Thinking of using bottled water (the cheap 20p stuff from tesco)???

We have the 10W light. Well I bought one exactly the same from City electrical and paid £70-80.

Works pretty well. Not as bright as the 500w unit it replaced but with the amount of energy it saves I’m happy to compromise.

Try putting a mirror in front of them so they can see what they’re doing. Made a big difference for us. Also try brushing your teeth at the same time, using the old like mummy/daddy talk.
