el_boufador For the win. Going to try the Eccup – Harewood loop. Sold by a decent cafe, promising coffee and cake. Recovering from a nasty cold/cv19/man flu so should be a nice easy pace. Appreciate the help guys.

I’m just outside Skipton so have done most of the Dales, Ilkley area. Never ventured any closer to Leeds though. Had maybe though out towards Harewood, Wetherby but don’t know the area that well.

We made the step up to 26” wheels at 10 with both of our kids. Specialized and giant make xs frames in full suspension. We also found ibis mojo frames comes up pretty small. My son has been riding one since the age of 12. Some bargains to be had with out of fashion wheel sizes.

Dented Trek rail returned and refund in progress. Specialized levo alloy comp collected from the Keighley store on Wednesday. Got to hand it to the team at Keighley, couldn’t have been any more helpful. Bike is in perfect condition this time. Last time I mail order a bike for home delivery.

5.10s delivered 5 days after ordering.

Take a look at Coretec. They make stair grade laminate.

    https://coretecfloors.com/en-gb/products?group=coretec+stairs

They also produce stair tread sections with integrated nosing. They look really nice in the flesh. The led lighting options look great too

    * full disclosure. Coretec is one of the brands owned by the company I work for.

Harrogate concept store had some KSL’s for around £3,800. Not sure on the exact model. You’d need to call them to find out more. They also have a second shop in Chester if that’s more convenient.

@stingmered glad yours was in better condition than mine. My box in fairness was 99% intact, no big rips etc. I still think mine had been damaged in the warehouse being there was thick pipe lagging over the top tube.

My keys were fastened to the handlebars with an elastic band. They are Abus keys. There was a tag that allowed you to order replacements. Maybe have a look and see if there is a number on the lock and speak to Abus. You can build a decent case being you have the bike and a receipt.

My Rail has now been collected and I’m waiting on a refund. I managed to get a good deal on a Levo alloy comp from Evans, albeit at another £1000 over the Rail. This time I’ve gone for the collect from store option. I’m told the bikes go direct to the shop as they come from the distributor. Fingers crossed this one is right.

Offered a refund which still fills me with dread as it means sending it back to them and hoping they don’t lose it. Glad I paid on CC.

they did say they could possibly offer a gift card with some compensation. Being how deep the dent is I’ve declined. FYI the box looked fine. There was also pipe lagging over the top tube. My feeling is it got dented at the warehouse while being transferred from the trek box into the Evans box.

    still pee’d off about it.

Hope those that ordered the Trek Rail have better luck than me. Dented top tube and deep scratch under the downtube where they forced the forks around for shipping. Gutted to say the least.

I may also have grabbed a medium Rail. Looking forward to my first eMtb experience. My brother bought a Levo alloy comp which was also cheaper than we could find at any other retailer.

Shame we’ve put 7K in Mike Ashley’s pocket.

I stayed over in Thornhill last night for work. There were several motorsport teams staying in the same hotel. They were running corporate events today with a race to follow. Not sure it’s an event for spectators hence the lack of advertising. Whatever series it is they were talking about travelling to Argentina, South Africa etc later in the series. Almost asked if they had any jobs going 😂

Check the trails are open before travelling. There is a major motorsport event happening there this weekend.

Not sure if this is legit? Seems like a good buy though?

Seller is into his outdoor stuff looking at their marketplace history.

Looks like the battery slides out the bottom of the downtube. Not that I can see it will be A. easy to change or B. buy off the shelf replacements.

Just renewed our kids passports. 1 took 9 days, 1 took 16 days. Both standard service. Tracking on the PP office website was poor at best.

Forgot to add both sent by 24 hour tracked.

No comments about door alternatives but I’ve seen various versions of flexible door sealants that replace silicone/putty at trade shows. Something like this – https://www.reddiseals.com/product/vitaseal-expanding-foam-tape/

Would allow you to remove the door and frame without the mess of sealants going forward.

Wouldn’t risk it to be honest. We’re heading home to North Yorkshire early. Not worth adding to the problems if things gets worse up here. Kids are amazed how the wind is currently Bumping 1.7 tons of caravan around 😬. Rock Paper Scissors for the poor sole getting the top bunk.

Evacuated off the Derwent water club site today. Got told to take awnings down last night. Currently sat up at the Troutbeck site. Very windy and wet but no chance of flooding up here. An otters pocket would have been warmer and more homely these last few days 🥲

Upside is managed blue and red north at Whinlatter with the kids and didn’t drown earlier in the week. Might work Friday now and save days holiday. Sigh.

Thanks for the info everyone. Might have found the package. Looking at a 30 minute driving lesson in a mini cooper s followed by 3 mile supercar experience (over quickly I know). Apparently you can add additional laps/cars on the day.

Reviews for PSR Experience look good so might try them.

You could try fitting some felt lap vents. It would take up some slack and improve ventilation.

Yes can understand some aren’t in the position to contribute financially. Just trying to raise awareness and gain some social media/forum coverage for them. It’s a great place both for education and as a family activity. Cycling is pretty good too… did I mention they also have a great cafe with cake….

You still in Skipton Stuart or did you move?

No we moved to Embsay 10 years ago, which scarily is the year after we did the last STW Northern chapter ride, skipton killer loop.

Hi Dave long time. Yes shooting season has started in earnest. Nothing stops the toffs playing Rambo. BW from rylstone to Barden will still be open. Unfortunately it’s been sanitised into a gravel road. Only about 1/4 mile of the original track remains. Better to head further north imho and head out hetton, kilnsey, malham etc.

Take a look at home styler. We planned out our full extension and used some of the plans as part of the planning application.

    Best of all it’s gratis.

Spank oozy trail wheels? Reviews make them sound very tough and capable of taking decent width tyres.
