Well pretty much what I thought, I have just filled out the forms to the liquidator with a statement of account, not expecting much, at least my tax bill should be less 😉

Thanks for the feedback, the last logo I did the bill came to £2,000, with all the revisions etc.

I will have a chat with them and see what their budget expectations are.

    Thanks guys,

I am Mac based, so it looks like an upgrade to CS3 is the way to go?

My Mac is running the old G5 processor not the fancy new Intel jobby will CS3 run OK on an old G5?

With GoLive I just do the front end stuff and let the software do all the HTML, does Dreamweaver do this also?

People employ me for the visual stuff, I would make a rubbish coder! So I need something that will do all that stuff for me, I just find GoLive really clunky and does unpredicatable things which I have to work round

We stayed in a villa in a small village just outside Perpignan last summer, up in the mountains. It was quite large though and slept eight, so may be a bit big for your needs.

Really nice area – clean air, mountain views, not far from the sea, plenty of places to see, plenty of biking and VERY, VERY quiet.

We booked through a website called Owners Direct (google it) this gives you a choice of places by region and accomodation size, plus of course you are booking direct with the owners so cost is good.

I stayed in the area last summer and found loads of waymarked trails all over the place, although I was nearer to Perpignan than Carcossonne. I was there for two weeks and never rode the same trail twice. Most of the VTT trails and clubs favour the high mountains (understandably) which may be a problem with snow this time of year.

There is plenty of riding but I would check out the weather conditions first, alternatively the road bike may be a good bet, there are always loads of roadies out and about down there.

It does sound expensive, but there are crowns and there are crowns…

A very good crown will fit properly, with the margins fitted into the gum and the colour will match the surrounding teeth with the right amount of translucence so it looks like a natural tooth. A bad crown will have a gap at the top between the gum and the crown which will look dark, be a poor colour match and look obviously false.

A lot depends on the skill of the dentist and the lab technician to get it looking just right. Trouble is spending a lot is no guarantee that you will get a good crown, you need to find a dentist with a good reputation in the cosmetic area (assuming you want a good crown).

The price can be negotiated, I managed to get a decent pair of crowns fitted for £350, by paying cash and paying the lab bill seperately, but I did know the guy who did it fairly well at the time and was in the dental industry myself back then.

So in summary, shop around, ask for pictures of work they have carried out and see if you can shave a bit off the price, but if you want a decent crown be prepared to shell out a bit.
