Cogwomble, there’s only one way to know if it’ll be silly, and that’s trying it!

Yeah, bottle cage position is unusual, that’s for sure. Still better than not having one at all though!

Poopscoop, yeah, I know what you mean about the resale, but to be honest, I’m not one to regularly swap bikes, and this was made to the perfect geometry for me, so I’m hoping I’ll be able to keep it for years to come, and will never have to worry about it’s market value!

Yeah, the commencal has a reach of 435, and I had a 53mm stem on it, now I’m on 522 with a 35mm stem, so it’s an increase of just less than 70mm!

To be honest, I can’t really say it’s much harder to lift the front up, maybe it’ll become more noticeable the more I ride it!

    Cheers tall_martin!

Haha, nah I’m 6’2″, but I’ve been converted to the longer, lower, slacker bandwagon since my brother got his extra longest Geometron about 18 months ago! To be honest though, it climbs better than the bike it replaces (large Commencal Meta SX) and descends absolutely fantastically! I know it’s not for everyone, but I really feel like it’s the right size for me and I’m loving having the extra length!

Been with BT since about April, have got BB and TV. Have to say that I really love the TV box. Having used Virgin’s Tivo for the previous few years, I have to say that I think the BT box is way better, nicer looking menus, much faster, and the HD channels are much easier to find in the EPG than Virgin! Also, all the on demand stuff is a doddle to get to through it. Only downside is that it needs to be connected via ethernet, not an issue for me as my router is next to my TV, but I can see how it could be an issue. I can’t really comment on the box when comparing to Sky as the last sky box I used was pre sky+! (although it is obviously a lot nicer to use than that!)

I’ve not really had any issues with the broadband either, I think the router froze once, but a manual restart and it was all good again! I’m getting at least the advertised speed, and usually at least 10% higher, had no issues in terms of reliability on that front.

The one major issue with BT is, as pretty much everyone else has said, their customer service is an absolute pain in the arse. Having said that, when the £100 mastercard that I was meant to be eligible for when I signed up was never available, they did credit my account for the amount instead. Just took several very patient conversations on their online chat thing.

Oh and another annoying thing is that they don’t give you your broadband data usage if you’re on unlimited, as apparently you don’t need it as you’re on unlimited! Again, they will eventually give it to you over the online chat.

V8s (although not necessarily V8 powered anymore!) are on motorspoprt.tv (used to be Motors TV) which is on Freesat I think?
    DTM is on BT sport.

Re Hope cassette, as it is the same standard as the Oneup cassette cluster, it can also be run on DT hubs with the Oneup minidriver, and apparently Stans have their own driver for them as well.

Stick your DMC style tracking numbers into the “DM Consignment Code” box and then hit “find consignment”. You should probably then be able to click on “Visit tracking site” to get to the royal mail site.

Seems to work for the three orders I’m waiting on from them at the moment.

Maybe a certain Mr S Buemi may well get a second chance at an F1 career, can’t see Kvyat being around next year, so stick Buemi in for at least one race to double check he’s still got it in an F1 car!

I got one of these a couple of weeks ago and it’s fantastic!

Nobeerinthefridge, have a go one one and you’ll never want to ride anything else in Glencoe!

postierich, it is possible to upgrade the brakes but an adapter is needed.

Can’t get an XD driver body for my wheels, and don’t really want to splash out for a new hub, so Shimano cassette is the only option. But, I like the look of SRAM GX, so was just wondering if it would work.

Ok, and it runs as smoothly as a matching cassette?
