Might sound like a stupid question, but would the conical spacers used for mounting Avid brakes be OK or should I be using something else?

I’ll use it then. Just wondering how slow out of date protien mix would breakdown and become less efffective?

I understand that you can sync calander, contacts etc when you plug the phone into a PC using a USB, I was wondering if it was possible to update the calander and contacts on the phone and outlook without having to plug the phone in much like my works Blackberry does.

First time solo for me 16 laps all on a hard tail, no going back to the team events now!

Thanks to all the riders and spectators for their support, it was quite ovewhelming at times

Best SiTS course ever. Well done everyone.

New rim time, it happens eventually. Might be quite nasty if it goes at high speed I've had a rim fold in on itself at low speed and that hurt

I had a very similar problem with my FOcus TDCi, engine management light coming on, loss of power, car grinding to a halt then starting after being left alone for 30 minutes.

Turned out to be the camshaft sensor, cost £25 to replace and minutes to fit.

    This is a common problem.

I've got some on an XTR chainset and have found them to be good. They definatley smooth out your pedal stroke, I havnt noticed my self getting any faster or powerful but I'm unfit at the moment so its diffiult to tell.

I've got to provide an update to my review on our Born to Bike Club Wesite[/url] if your interested I'll be doing this when I get back from 10 Under the Ben.

The course was riding really nice and fast this afternoon, but there's been some heavy showers this evening. Local weather is saying these will die out over night.

I was going to use Ralphs but will go with 1.8 Nicks myself and take a spare set of wheels with some mub tyres on just in case.

Is it really that simple? Ideally I'd like to move stuff like itunes etc.
    I'll give a whirl though.

I've also been using Shimano Dura Ace 7850 carbon laminate clinchers (WH7850 CL) and they have been fantastic. Light and stiff and still running true.

Also consider American Classic Hurricanes which are cheaper. Got these on my training bike and they have held up really well to riding pot hole infested roads in the West Midlands. Decent weight too.

I always rode from Malaucene to Bedoin, then up Ventoux before coming back down to Malaucene at warp factor 9! Round trip of 35(ish)miles I think.

Little tip for anyone whose never ridden up from Bedoin there is a tap to refill your bidon's at Chalet Reynard, which is just after you break out of the trees and start the 'moonscape' section.

    I''l be there….

Stayed briefly in Malaucenne last year on the way to the Verdon. Rode Ventoux 3 times in two days and it's fantastic.

We'll be driving out next Wednesday and will be staying at the Le Bosquet campsite in Maulaucenne for 10 days.

Will be on Ventoux for the tour, cannot wait.

    engine size is 1.8.

I’m getting a rumbling when the car is stationary and the clutch pedal is depressed. No trouble getting gears or clutch slip.

Think it’s prbably the clutch throw bearing, but wondering if it’s worth having the whole clutch replaced as I’ve just turned 86k

Raced this morning and conditions were difficult to say the least. It’s just tipped it down again so it’s time to break out the mud tyres I think.

    Good atmosphere though.

    I’ll be there.

I’ve just got back from riding the course and I can confirm it’s fast and fun.

The step entry to the descent postierich has pictured needs some care. Stay of the front brake, get your weight well back and it’s a OK, attack it with too much speed and I agree with postierich, you’ll probably visit the nettles either side.

It’s dry and dusty at the mo bt given the forcast I don’t expect that to last!

    Great day out.

How many riders were in the Men’s fun Solo Category?

    I’ll be there riding solo.

Ridden the course this afternoon and I’m happy to report it is dry and dusty 😀 and the forcast is good.

Lots of nice singletrack and hard core has been laid over the sections that cut up when wet, so hopefully it will ride better when wet.

    Good luck everyone.
