You need I act on DrP’s advice, he is 100% correct both morally and from a legal safeguarding perspective. Worrying that some people think this is an OK situation. Questions need to be asked and challenges made by the appropriately skilled professionals who will make an informed decision about any form of intervention.

I haven’t got resistance on my Elite rollers but find workouts hurt big time if done proprly also got an imagic turbo but enjoy the rollers for base stuff and tempo/threshold spins using power meter. I wouldn’t go for resistance as you can work hard enough with just a standard setup IMHO

Sidi dragons MTB and Ergo road over here too. More comfy than Spesh or Shimano as long as they fit your feet

Have a look at the Stan’s website there a video on there showing you how to ensure the tyres are sealed by shaking the wheels to distribute the fluid and seal the wheels.

Also wheels often hold pressure after a ride or two.

I looked at these but heard of reliabilty problems so went for a set of Elite Arion Parabolic Rollers from Wiggle on sale at £150, should have been £200.

Going to fall off them for the first time tonight

First CX season for me, hardly any riding or racing in the past year has meant I’m consistently at the back of the vets field of the West Mids League but loving it so far

You will have some adjustment of postion with stem length and saddle postion but making ‘extreme’ changes can upset the balance of the riders postion. There is a useful bike fit calculator here this may help with getting some idea of frame size, stem length and saddle adjustmente but there is no real alternative for sitting on a bike, many shops now offer a bike fit with a new bike. Where are you based?

My other half had a Specialised Dolce Elite but fit was very wrong for her, she’s now got an XS Focus Cayo that fits perfect. Beware that not everyone fits a WSD bike.

She’s also got some size mint 40 Sidi’s Genius 6.6 Road Shoes for sale if your interested?

2003 On One Tinbred (the original one) with 3×9 XTR, Avid Ultimate brakes, Fox RLC forks, American Classic tubeless wheels and 2010 Trek Top Fuel with practically the same build as the one one. Also got an 853 rigid Inbred for when it gets mucky. Mainly used for Enduros and 24 hour solos

My outlaws live about 7 mile away and I often take my rigid singlespeed round for a couple of quick laps. Ridden fast it’s quite enjoyable.

Ridden solo for the past two years in less than ideal conditions, last year was especially bad. Cannot do this year and the forecast is fantastic! Enjoy

I got knocked off my bike a few years back overtaking stationay/slow moving traffic, on the right. Whilst in the end I wasnt found to be at fault my solictor was clear that the law and courts see such a manouver as being inherriently dangerous and the correct course of action should be to wait with the stationary traffic.

There is case law regarding this, cannot remember which case it was but it was oan accident invovling a milk foat and a bike.

In the real world cyclists are not going to wait in stationary traffic, I still overtake on the right as you would in a car. Just go easy and keep your wits about you

I’m down to ride solo but have woken today with a sore throat and ear ache and feel as weak as a kitten (no difference there then)
