Not ridden it yet. I’ll let you know how it rides. Going to be racing on it 9th July so will get on it the weekend before

My main race bike for this coming season is a purple Crockett. Lovely frame built up with full ultegra, avid ultimate canti’s, Reynolds Assault carbon wheels with Dugast tubs and Bontrager XXX finishing kit. 16lbs in weight cannot wait to give it the beans, looks fast

Done quite a bit of pot holing before, couldn’t even bear the thought of it now.

Cave diving is another step up.

    (Excuse the bad soundtrack)

Thanks for that, I’ll take a look I spoke to the highways agency and they’ve asked for the location of the crater it’s probably visible from space

Think I’ll just go with the original plan and get some Sidi wires to replace my Ergo 2s

But you do need a full face helmet and body armour……

There is just enough space running the sensor on the outside of the crank arm but it’s close and not ideal.

I’m using MTB pedals so think there should be just enough space for my foot to clear the sensor, otherwise I’ll be on the hunt for a GSC 10

The ultimates have been fantastic. Leagues above the rest, they’ve been faultless in all conditions. There are som bargains out there at the mo with everyone going disc crazy

Going to strip down my CX bike as my seasons over just need to be sure I’m getting the straddle cable the right height and the springs adjusted properly

    Thanks for the feedback

Thanks, was just wondering as the spoke pattern on the front is different to that used for the disc wheels. Presuming this is to cope with disc braking forces rather than strength?

I’ve been running Avid ultimate canti’s for the past few years without any issue. Just feels like I need to future proof my next setup. Also want to do 3 peaks next year if I can get in so the extra braking power would be welcome

I use tend to avoid gels and such like and concentrate on using easy to eat and digest ‘normal’ food like peanut butter sandwiches, jam Sandwiches cut up small into bite size pieces. also Pringles, popcorn, banana’s and I make up my own rice cakes.

Make sure you hydrate properly don’t over hydrate and flush all the electrolytes outs of body and conversely don’t drink too little. As with the food I tend to avoid or at least minimise the use of energy drinks, if I do use them I make them up quite dilute.
