I got a Mego King Arthur figure in it original box for 50p. Sold it for £50.
Also found the Eye of War photography book, I think I paid £1. Opened it up to find it signed by Don McCullin and Phillip Jones Griffith. I won’t be getting rid of that in a hurry.

Dirt usedto be a great read, now it’s gone a tad bland. Tim March’s write up about Interbike (possibly 2000)was crazy rambling piece but still sticks in my mind today! The photography and graphic style were amazing when compared to mbuk… The it lost its way around issue 100, got better and now seems ok. Its a shame they ditched the uk racing reports as well… My sub has lapsed but I stil buy it from the lbs.

I had my first ride in 7 months last Sunday, I didn’t do a bad job, managed a long road climb and enjoyed the downhill into the town. I’ve been off it far too long and it’s good to be back. Arse hurt a bit like… 😉

I went to Wrexham to see Napalm Death in about 1993. Drove into the carpark decided they’d sold out and went home. Also missed Oasis at The Tivoli in Buckley (but did see Faith No More there on their first tour in 1988 and had a great chat to the bassist)

I had only heard the Specials singles but went to Aberywyth scooter rally in 88 and their first LP was on constant rotation in one pub. It left its mark. More Specials I can leave but the first one is great.
I like The Clash first LP and Rope but can leave the rest. Paul Simenon is one cool guy.

I used to enjoy Tesco beefburgers, they were part of my stable diet. But the last time I had one, I gave me the trots.

Since we’ve had the kids (oldest 5) we’ve not been out. Quite happy with a couple of bottles of wine and some good cheese. I’ve always found it rather forced and paying to go in your local is just wrong.

Seeing my 3 year old boys face when her saw his Mini Cooper battery operated car in the kitchen! It was a 2nd bargin and he was do excited. To be honest, the thing the kids have had the most fun with day after day is a Whoopee cushion. A real Bronx cheer.

Awful… Wife had really bad anxiety problems at the start of the year, poorly father in law, new neighbours moved in and we ended up getting a harrasment warning onto them after months of shit, poorly father in law passed away last week…
On the plus points my dad had the all clear for his cancer. I have a fantastic wife and two great kids!

I recently met Ellie Simmons at the opening of a swimming pool. A colleague was going around telling everyone how “down to earth” she was.

Went out to a good pub and drank good beer last Sunday. It was for the first time in ages, sat there with some old mates and had a good time. It cheered up one I particular whose misdus as knocked off her bike a few weeks back. We are going to do it more often now.

I just paid a lot for some Oakley Bucket frames with Nikon lenses. I had one of the most thorough eye test I’ve ever had at the same optician, my perscripition has changed quite a bit since my last pair.. One plus about high street over online is you can pop in for an adjustment whenever…

I was staying in rented accomodation in Liverpool, woke up beefore the alarm in the morning and felt body roll to the right with the weight of somebody sitting on the edge of the bed. I froze and stayed that way for quite some time….

I’m going through the same thing… Just started a small extension on the back of the house before the new neighbours arrived. She is 21 and addy bought her the house as a birthday present! We went round and said hello, explained the parking situation and we have two small children, but it seems to have been in vain. She like her music loud, smokes outside and generally acts like a diva. The neighbour on the other end (a policeman) doesn’t seem concerned which kind of leaves us in the unenviable position of being the bogeymen nextdoor.
We almost considered knocking the extension down. What should be a nice moment for us is being ruined by the cosntant thought of “are we doing the right thing?”.
We are keeping a noise diary., but want to avoid the council thing.. please let it stop!

I have a mk1 (it has a car style shifter as opposed to a t-bar one) in the garage in bits. It needs a bit of welding from some jumping way back, it’s missing a back wheel and looks rather sorry for itself! It even has a Jaws sticker on, showing its provenance… I need to sell it as a restoration project…

I think the new Fits should give it up. I saw a video online of them playing at some snowboard jolly and it looked very sad. Can’t fault the Danzig era at all…
