Had a Snug Supreme 2000 for three years & have to say we have never slept so good as we do now, I reckon Carlsberg must have made them.

Handing over £100 notes in shops is always difficult up here, as is handing over a Scottish £5 in Englandshire, but in Tenerife I went into an exchange & handed over 4 Clydesdale £100 notes & the guy never even blinked, he just counted out the Euros no problem.

18p a pint for me, those were the days, go out get pissed, go to dancing, taxi home with a bird, then a taxi home, all for under a fiver.
I remember the day it went up to 21p a pint, my four best mates & I were gutted that a round was costing us over a pound.

I can't believe you can be bothered to research all this, it's not exactly off the top of your head like the comments I have made, I think you are one of these guys that just feel the need to prove themselves to be better, I reckon your either vertically challenged or have a very little dick.
If you have any sense, you should just shut up now & save yourself from appearing any more foolish than you have already, but….. I suspect you will feel the need to get the last word in.

I'd best answer this quick then in case I get in trouble.
I've owned several models over the years, including Makita & reckon this one is the best, it all depends on what you want it for & what you want it to do. I have had this one for about 8 years now & it has loads of abuse & is faultless, It replaced another Trend which got damaged in a fire. I have used a 1500watt router & it was not a patch on this one.
It's what Trend do, the others follow.
    Ernie may know better though.

I freely admit (as I have on previous threads) that my personal experience of DIY tools is more or less nil – well apart from when I have very occasionally borrowed tools. Which is the reason for my past reluctance to advise on DIY tools

So why have you posted 11 times on this thread?…is it cause you is a "IT guy" who thinks he's an expert on everything? 😀

Although TBH, I bet there's little difference between Ryobi and Makita when it comes to quality – a bit like the difference between XT and XTR if you like.

Absolute bollox, I am a tradesman & have owned both, still do in fact I have Mak stuff that is 15-20 years old & still performs. It is made for professional use, Ryobi is DIY stuff but it is pretty good for its cost but not a patch on Mak.
If its for DIY then buy Ryobi & you won't be dissapointed, but if you use it day in day out buy the Mak stuff.

My wife also watches all the crap TV, most nights, tonight it was Emmerdale, Corrie, Eastenders then Corrie again & she's forever watching Come dine with me. The days she's not working she watches even crappier stuff like Jeremy Kyle, wife swap etc. the lazy bitch hardly does any housework like she's meant to.
So if she's only your GF, ditch her now as it will get expensive if you marry the lazy cow & then decide you are fed up of having to get your own breakfast & having to iron a shirt before you wear it coz she's been watching crap TV when she should have been doing housework.

It's got to be a porno, it doesn't matter which, as the story's always the same in them all, it would just give you something to jerk off to.

Thanks for the input so far guys.
It's actually to run a gas booster pump, & the specs in my first post were given to me by the supplier.
I am looking at this compressor below, but it does not actually give the cfm of free air. The booster pump is very thirsty & it will drain the receiver in no time, so the size of the receiver is not an issue, the compressor will be running constantly for the time I am using it which will be only for periods of up to 30min no more than a couple of times a week. Would this be suitable, or do you know of a better one in this price range?

Forgot to add, pipe/stud detectors are pish, I do have an ultrasonic measure with laser pointer, which is handy for estimating & reasonably accurate, but they can pick up obstructions if not in an empty room, you need to try it at least twice & then by experience judge if it is telling the truth, they cost around £30, an actual laser one like Leica costs lots more. I see Bosch do one for £90 but I would like to see one actually working before I bought one, even then I would only use it for estimating.

I have had one of these for a couple of years,
    http://www.laser-level.co.uk/erol.html
I am a joiner to trade, it's self leveling & think it's brilliant for lots of stuff,ie. setting out over large areas, finding high low spots, erecting partitions showing straight lines, setting out square but no laser level will replace a traditional bubble level for accuracy on actually leveling things like shelves etc. the line it projects is 2-3mm depending on how close it is, they work over at least a 30m distance, but don't get me wrong it's a godsend for speed on marking things.
I paid £57 on a special deal from my local irongomonger.
They are not good if bright sunlight is steaming in your window or outdoors unless you have a reader, but that can be overcome with a bit of ingenuity.
I looked at the more expensive Dewalt at £200, it had a slightly wider arc & had a more intense beam, but no pole, after 2 years use I have no regrets & would buy it again if it broke.
Since seeing it, at least 10 other tradesmen I know have all bought one.
Definitely the dogs bollocks & no I don't work for Stan.

I’m 95% certain it is illegal to kill them when you are on land, but not so from a boat, & BTW an airgun pellet would just bounce off there chest unless you got it up under the feathers, even then it probably would not kill them, you would need a headshot.

It’s not really a sport though, is it, it’s more about the performance of a machine, where has Button been for the last few years, it’s not as if he has got better all of a sudden, he just has the best car at the moment.
