I filled my van & car yesterday, £93 for my van & £67 for my car, I never think about the expense,I need to use fuel to earn money, I look on it as that's £160 I'm not going to be paying income tax on.

Most recommendations have been W coast, OP asked for E coast, so I would recommend Findhorn/Lossiemouth area, Lots of trails within a short drive.

If I were looking for a small van, ideally I would be looking to pick up one that had previously been owned by a florist.

He's not exactly a kiddy fiddler though, at 15 years old, girls can look much older & very inviting, they may even set out to deliberately con him/get money out of him, or whatever as he is in the public eye. What he has done is illegal & wrong but I think he may be getting a raw deal.

I dive (Mixed Gas for over 10years & have been using a Closed Circuit Rebreather for the last 7years)all year round in the UK, doing about 80 dives a year, around 30 of those are in the 50-90m range(sport diving depths are a max of 40m), so I feel suitably qualified to comment. I have never worn a watch to go diving for over 12 years. All divers I know wear a dive computer & most wear a dive timer as a back up. Usage of computers & dive timers became mainstream in the 90s & dive watches were then made redundant for diving.
I don't know anyone who wears a dive watch to go diving, the purpose of the watch was to monitor your dive time, the best dive timer (Uwatec) costs £80 & the battery will last about 7 years, so why on earth would someone wear a dive watch?

I have one as do most divers, but it's only worn on dry land, I suppose it's a way of telling everyone in the pub they're a diver.

I must say the rubber strap ones are great for MTBing, very rugged & waterproof.

    This had me in knots.
There is an identical thread running in bikeradar.com & someone was mentioning Paul Dickov, someone responded with the following

When I read it I was reminded of the classic Harry Redknapp interview…

Reporter – "Were you going to pull di Canio off at half time?"

'H' – "No, he got an orange just like everyone else!" Laughing

Once he is finished I'd tell him you think he took the piss & that it's only fair that you will pay him the full amount in 5 months, I'm sure he will feel guilty & offer some discount for immediate settlement.

I quoted for a job 3years ago to lay oak flooring, the customer had already bought it & if I remember correctly had paid around £3000 for it. I quoted £3200 to fit it. I received a phone call one day saying he had another quote for £1800 but he would like me to fit it if I could lower my price a little.
He went about it in a nice way & I too wanted the job but said,

"No, that's my price, the other guys price seems awfully cheap & if it's not done right he could ruin your flooring that you've spent £3000 on & you will have wasted a lot of money if it's a mess, have a think about it & you can get back to me, get another quote if you like & compare that"

So I left it at that, he called me back 10mins later to say go ahead, I presume he just had a chat with his wife about it. He said later he was glad he went with me as the other guy did not really inspire a lot of confidence & I appeared to know what I was talking about.
The way I look at it is if they are asking you to come closer to someone elses price, they must want you to do the job, otherwise why did they just not go for the lowest quote in the first place, it's all about selling yourself. I have no idea if the other guy was any better or worse than me.

I have since done other work for the guy, so he must have been happy. You hear so many horror stories out there about poor tradesmen, so assure them you are good at what you do & know your stuff. I just try & do a good job & provide a good service while making a good living at it.

I just skimmed some posts, so, my thoughts after reading this

When I say 'trashed the place', she broke a glass, smashed a picture frame and tried to smash my mobile by throwing it against a wall. And she knocked over a clothes maiden, tore some papers up, stuff like that. Nothing too bad,

I reckon you were making out like she is a nutter & you are the good guy at the start & not telling the complete truth, there are two sides to every story & it take two to tango. You are now changing your story, so sorry but I reckon you must have done something to set her off.

BTW. I for one would not be asking this type of question on a forum, I think you are the one that's nuts.
You have one failed marriage already so your record in relationships is not good, she would be better off without you.

I too like Lost, but it all seems stupid now, I'm totally confused as I have been for the last couple of series, I'm not sure I will watch this one as last nights double bill put me to sleep during the first episode, I\had sky +'d it so I watched the bit I missed, but that made no difference.

Give Commercial Vehicle Direct a try. Theyre the cheapest for both our vans.

I was with them for 1 year, then at renewal time they were £250 more expensive then I got quoted for off vancompare.com, can't remember who it's with though

The midges can make your life hell if camping, more so on the west coast. While the West coast is beautiful IMO it's not what kids these days want. Aviemore would be my recommendation, lots to do with kids, pony-trecking, landmark centre, watersports, walking, biking, wildlife centre, wildlife safaris, golf, fishing, abseiling, more scenery than you can shake a stick at, in all lots of activities, very much a doing holiday where you can really bond.
If the wife must do some shopping & visit M&S, Inverness is not far.
It is a long way for you, but in the grand scale of things it is only 2hrs or so farther than the borders & there is no comparison.
