don’t see how the Government could ever legalise drugs. Alcohol is relatively low risk and has been used widely quite literally since man found out how to make it. Can you seriously imagine a time when there will be a minimum legal age for people to buy drugs like heroine or cannabis? Get real.

    Serious question.
So what happens in Holland, is there a legal age, I’ve never been there, is the streets full of junkies or what?
From what I know the country seems ok.

BTW I’ve never done any drugs.

I had a 3G (not3Gs) for 2.5 years, upgraded to the 4 In December & sold my 3G for £220, having that kind of second hand value makes it pretty damned good, I have never sold an old phone before, they just get thrown in a drawer coz no one wants them.
Battery life is no big deal, I have always put my phone on charge every night, that way you never get caught out.
I love the iphone, it impressed me so much I bought an imac & I am a total convert to apple products now.

I have a mate who had a iphone 3, sold it when his contract was up, moved to an android phone, kept it less than a month & moved to an iphone 4.

There’s been quite a few famous gay golfers, Vijay Singh, Jose Maria Olazabal. Lots on the LPGA
Brian Gay is straight, he just has a very unfortunate surname, & I can’t help but pity his poor caddy who has to display Gay on his bib.

Then there is Billie Jean King & Navratilova in tennis.

Golf course holes are mostly still in Yards, some courses do refer to both metric & imperial.

Building trade is still a bit dodgy, as plywood & MDF are sold in imperial size sheets (8’x4′) & plasterboard is sold in metric size sheets (2400x 1200), doors are sold in both imperial & metric sizes, I also remember you could buy plasterboard that was 8ft x 1200mm.

I’ve been 10 times in the past 20 years, A car is a must, don’t think about buses.
Stay in a villa with a pool the kids will love it, you need to take days off to chill & a pool lets you do that & keeps the kids amused at the same time, maybe do a bit of shopping later on in the day, the parks drain you.
Stay anywhere round the west end of the 192, the past twice I have stayed round the Davenport area on the, the East end is getting run down & shops closing all over the place.
Busch gardens, Seaworld, Disney & Universal are all great for adults & kids, Space centre may not be of interest to the youngsters. If you want a waterpark Typhoon Lagoon is better than Blizzard beach.
I always source my own villa & get a flight & car separate, I have always found that works for me best.
I’ve been there in Dec, Jan, June, July, Aug & Sept & like June the best & the queues in the parks shorter, I think all the prices for flights & villas rise round mid June time. It’s all to do with school holidays.
Ask in the parks about child swap, you get to jump the queues if you know how to work it.

Have you not yet worked out the difference between blokes at a football ground and people paid to commentate on it? Maybe Sky should just pull a couple of random geezers from the stands for each match now they have a vacancy

They have done for ages, never seen Fanzone?

What about the soccerettes on Soccer AM, surely Sky must now put a stop to that, that is more wrong than Andy & Richards banter, talk about double standards.

If you want a complete nob, then listen to Alan Hansen.

Are you a Bitter Everton fan, by any chance?

    No chance.

I only found out about this & am totally gutted Andy Gray is the best pundit there has ever been, I also think Richard Keys is excellent at what he does.

    Really?

Yes, name me a better pundit.

Sky will have a hard job replacing either of them, more so Gray, he was brilliant at what he did, he probably had the best job in football.

There appear to be a few who disliked Gray here & I’m shocked, you guys are the first people I have ever heard say they disliked him. If you want a complete nob, then listen to Alan Hansen.
I reckon that there comments were just banter, which goes on all the time everywhere & nothing to get wound up about, I would consider cancelling my Sky in protest to his sacking, like a poster above, but I’d miss it too much.

I see a post by mandog has just been deleted, it was rather dodgy though (possible ban). Do the mods check every post in every thread 24hrs a day, it’s a bit of a thankless task & must be a nightmare to police.

What I can’t understand is why TJ comes on the chat forum if he finds all this offensive, why not just stick to the bike forum, after all that is what attracts people to STW in the first place?

It appears to me he obviously just likes an argument or virtual boxing match from behind the safety of a computer screen.

Don’t take offence, but possibly they did not fancy the job, or care for you or your attitude, I judge people when I go to estimate job, I’m not saying you fall into this category, but a lot of people out there have terrible attitudes & if I come across one, I hammer the price on as I do not really want to work for them. If they still want to go ahead, fine at least I know I’m getting well paid it, same goes if I can see the jobs going to give me grieve. I do know a few guys who just never bother putting a quote in, just as your experiencing.
On the other hand if people are really nice when I go see them, I tend to be a more sympathetic when quoting & I get back to them quicker.

I once enquired about buying an ex demo form my LBS, they wanted as much for the 6month old ex demo which had been knocked about a fair bit, as I could buy one new off the internet, so I bought one new off the internet

PD 600 here, it’s great, cut very tight though to keep it light & compact, I have thought about buying the PD400 to cut down on even more space, buy it if space in your pack is important & your not a fatty, if it’s for car camping, buy the Skyehigh.

Apparently Guy Gibsons dog in the remake of The Dambusters, is maybe going to be called Nigsy or Nidge. He called the dog by it’s name 12 times in the original film, we’ll have to wait for the release to see what they decide to do.

What would be the PC requirements for the HD version to operate smoothly against the 960 version?
I’ve done a lot of reading today on the GoPro & Contour & wonder if my PC is up to it.

It’s your hot water supply you want to be concerned with, not your cold, do you have a combi/pressurised system or is it gravity fed? if so is your tank high enough to provide enough pressure, 1m =.1bar

Sure it’s still in 4WD & not just the indicator on the dash that’s showing your in 4WD, the switch in the transfer box is renowned for being dodgy. I have a Nav & it sometimes tells me I’m in 4WD low box, when I am in 2WD. You will feel if it are in 4WD when going round corners, try full lock with the dash switch in both positions, you will know then if it’s stuck or just the transfer box switch telling the dash indicator a lie.

Ha ha, just read this from the “What amazes you?” thread.

The fact that someone will have a trained professional diagnose their sick child and then prefer to follow the advice of some well-meaning amateurs on the internet.

It hardly compares to stubbing your big toe, does it.

Whilst I have been mailing Blower there have been some replies & I disagree with Yell, I have advertised with them for a few years & thing have changed from years gone by, I stopped yellow pages a couple of years back as no-one look at a directory anymore & I am stopping yell.com when my current year is up as it is not worth the cost( I have an ad with a weblink) if you get google sussed

Saxabar has hit the nail on the head
I always ask new customers how they found me & 99% say Google.

I don’t call past customers, if they want me they will call me.

I don’t have sings on my van as I don’t like to advertise it is full of tools.

I don’t do cards in stores etc.

Find a builder type sites are a joke.

I just have a website & it works wonders, but as geoffj says, not one of the shoddy ones.

Directing traffic to your site is the key though.

Hope you find my email helpful Blower.
