pretty sure it does it regardless of which rear gear it is in, I will try a cheap 3/32″ chain, cheers.

Out of interest how long are ‘standard ie. 8/9/10spd’ chain links?

    That’s not a pub bike!
A pub bike is something that you build out of spares and looks so shonky that noone will nick it from outside the pub….

yeah the ring was changed but it looked exactly the same, it does this with new and old rings.

I am barely computer literate yet because it is just click/drag etc (like using word really) I have been able to make this:
    http://www.sconetomongolia.com

Even with embeded videos and a live satellite tracker map!

It costs under a fiver a month on pay as you go hosting too

-yup that would be me 😀

Hopefully the metal man will have had a good poke around underneath too.

    Cheers, will update

    I am in exeter Fantom.

Update- the bearded wise men at exeter gearbox centre gave it a drive and are 99% sure it isn’t the gearbox! Excellent news.

Need to find a two post lift to drive it through the gears while looking under to find what’s loose.

Currently at the metal man in chagford having some underbody protection bolted on…a box of suspension parts turned up today too, something else to learn!

130mm max on a carbon asr5-c? could be wrong
On a brighter note i had one and it out up with my bulk hammering it around very well!

plusnet here, we move every 6 months.
It includes a free house move every 6 months so long as you resign a 12month contract…they sort everything, its very good really

May as well be at this rate!

Going to try have our lovely local garage source a box for us, sadly 500 is going to cut our fuel budget waaay to much!

booked in with a gearbox specialist for diagnosis tomorrow but lining up options, sadly no I don’t earn that much and while the saxo is definitely on a one way trip it would suck majorly not to get there!

We are pretty committed to this vehicle now having spent a small amount on MOT/timing belt/water pump etc.

I know the saxo will never run on in England however I would rather spend a couple hundred now than have it catastrophically fail enroute and leave us stranded in the middle of nowhere.

    just looking for feed back

    ….don’t feed them!

I hope you were slightly more polite when you went back in store!

If bearings were missing from a cup/cone hub it would be very very obvious

    anyone know:
    – is it a tapered headtube?
    – standard 135mm QR rear axle?

How do I get that one in there?
I have unscrewed the top (opposite thread) to seperate the black top cap from the red middle section

They sent me a fatter standard o-ring which seals it off better than the stock wiperish type one.

How do I get the damper apart further?

thursty- do you have a link please

Just got back a couple days ago, if you had more time I would recommend an amazing hotel in Scopello….if not then +1 to Zingaro.

Scala dei Turchi isn’t really on route and a bit of a let down unless you are a geologist 😉
