if it were Judy/Duke would the description of 60mm travek and no adjustment be accurate?
also looks like the V-brake bosses are missing, can i just screw in a spare set i have here-all the same size like?

Im finishing my degree because i'm 2/3rds way through, had to take a job at somerfield on the checkouts….lets just say its lame and it feels like i'm wasting my time!
But looking on the brightside (as you always should) i'm saving every penny i can to buy a van and begger off round the world for as long as possible as soon as i finish my degree 😀
Hopefully doing that will help me realise what i should be doing with my life!

I appreciate its much harder just to up sticks and change your life direction if you have commitments etc, but i hope you find your way dude!

Reccommend coming to uni if you can, meet some really great people including mature students. Get an idea of the course you want to do, where you want to study and give them a ring…they may well not require you to have A-levels etc?

good luck anyways, could always go for a ride too?

Fettler- I want your truck! (seriously 😀 )
yeah i would love to straight out bike it but i'm not sure how far i would get, with a van or something atleast i know i will get there and maybe a not so bikey person could tag along too. Van will defo be nothing special so i can sell/replace it where ever i need to, no ties, young, crazy/not 100% stupid, its going to be rad!
Just need to finish the degree (massively lame at the minute with dissertation etc), build up some cash- got me a soul destroying check-out job at somerfield, turn 21 (july 24th)so i can drive abroad….sorted!
    Inspired!

I'm cornish and i'd reccomend a dollop of heinz tomato sauce, screw the salad but follow it with scones and cream instead 😀

To repeat wise words once said to me, "If there's room on your plate for other things, you should'v made the pasty bigger!"

    enjoy though, mmmmmmm hot pasty….

Olly, yeah good ideas, i didnt know bikes were banned on campus thats crazy!
And no i do not in any way want to upset Joe, Summit or anyone else in the trade there is enough business to go around.

    Alright see how it goes!

Yep, boss at halfords said their profits were through the roof 🙁 grrr money grabbers!

Haha sweet yeah looks like i will be going into business then, some sweet ideas on here!
especially like the idea to go all 'green fingered' and get in touch with the uni, will be doing that asap. There used to be a second hand bike shop in aber but it closed so i guess there is a gap there.

Tankslap, don't suppose you are near aber?

Yes i do know what a chainring bolt is 😀

No jobs at summit sadly, they even get you cytech trained so i have heard.

Yeah definately a scary place to be riding a fixie round here!

Only worries really is that well naturally being a student i have very little money and halfords used to pay for my food/bike bits…ah well can always extend the overdraft!

    Any more ideas welcome…please!

i ordered race face fr elbow pads in the end, bit big but immeadiately had a tumble and they worked a treat so would recommend. Not the most comfortable but i think thats down to sizing so i wont grumble.
Have had kyle straits knee's for a year or so, highly recommended, stable fit can take impacts. Material on the outside has frayed a bit but nothing major, well worth it.

thanks simon, will have a go at that, imagined it to be a much more extreme job getting them apart.
If not it will be slim jims (although syncros if i get my job back)
