    have adjust rebound and matched air pressures to avoid confusion.
    There is still a definate knock when you compress the forks, and you can see the seal getting slightly squashed when you rock on them like the fork is bending at the middle…suggesting worn bushings?

    as i recall store them the correct way up.
    If they are coils? follow my friends service guide here
    and fork juice[/url] on the stanchions after cleaning.

    Ok so what should i get bearing in mind i need:

    U turn travel to ~140mm
    air
    second hand £200-£300

    Pike airs, Magura Wotons, Fox 32/36…..??

    +1 for hayes 9, utterly bombproof…ridiculusly cheap (especiall 2nd hand in classifieds) easy to bleed, loads and loads of stopping power with 8" rotors.

    yeah u-turn definately, such a great thing to have on a do-it-all bike.
    man its such a jump in price from RS to Fox!

    if you can buy longer pins for your pedals eg terror puns for DMR pedals, really aids grip and increases confidence.

    Take confidence in the fact you can jump free from flats if you need too!

    you have the preload cap done up yeah? and the allen key bolts done up sufficiently tight?

    The plastic 'hook' on the non drive crank arm should atleast stop it from coming off….odd…sorry just ruling out the simple things, some1 of authority will be along shortly!

    if not can get some glue removal fluid from pounland etc? keep it away from yer bearings tho!

    yeah same weight here, tyres on the hardtail do have to take some abuse to be fair

    yeah good point, this is for my hardtail…and i weigh a fair bit. its nice knowing that you wont get a flat no matter what, worth the weight maybe.

    yup, superb lights the DX p7 magicshine.
    Wouldnt recommend buying from dealextreme mind as they take a horrifically long time due to stock demands.
    search ebay, spend a fiver more and get it in a couple days!

    Yeah only when stored, have been using it daily and have not had it happen for a while now.

    TFT, how much does that cost? sounds expensive 🙁 will give them a fluid top up at some point.

    Sorry didnt mean to inadvertantly rubbish the names of reputable japanese watchmakers, just thoose cheap plastic ones you get for £5.

    Watching a nice sekundo and a seiko as recommended, we shall see if the price rockets 😀
