Is the calliper aligned properly over the disc (ie is it only rubbing one side?)

If rubbing both sides then yep gently lever the pads/pistons back into the calliper, if they are under too much pressure and pop out immeadiately you can release some brake fluid….

If you do let out some of the brake fluid, make sure you only open the calliper nipple at the same time as pressing the pads back or it may suck in some air. If the lever feels ‘spongy’ you may have let in air and could do with a bleed.

And dont get it on yer pads!

Have you routed the cable around the cam on the mech correctly (depending if it is top/bottom/dual pull?

I had this when I asked the difference too, I was told ceramic were not going to last in wet conditions….
However I have had the same ceramic for 3 years and its still smoother than the stainless ever were, recommended if you can afford it.

Have you had a look at the Bontrager XR4 or XR3?
Availible in a few different casings/sizings (come up on the larger side)

Be careful folks, had a couple guys come into the workshop having done said method….all good until bike flipped to go into car etc and suddenly no pressure, most likely an air bubble floating about (sorted with a bleed)
