Silly question of the day "Is Tunisia part of Europe?"

tongue in cheek but still got the actual answer 😉

    waihiboy –
why do you want a hdmi input on a freeview box.
terrestrial does not pass hd yet..

😳 im a bit of a joey deacon when it comes to stuff like this. but i thought if i connect the freeview box with hdmi rather than current scart i'd get a better picutre? but from what you have said i obviously cant?

i know what you mean, theres been a good few shitty comments on here in the last year, never used to be this bad seems to have gto worse sinc the forum changed

what cracks me up are the pricks who reply to a thread that they have no interest in but still post and slag the OP.

thats the internet for you i guess… its easy to slag and shout from behind your keyboard!

Cala d'Or is lovely, parents used to take me there as a kid. nice marina to walk round and chill out in.

but its a bit of a slog down to the beach, i hate beaches though.

just start looking mate and stick it out in the meantime.

ive ranted on here for years about my job, family run business, only loyalty is making me stay when the place is utter un-managed madness, the only reason we are surviving is name alone and we make very bespoke bits n bobs and 'thankfully' there is more work out there than people who can make the stuff.

but after 6 years i have finally cracked, i have a master plan, im looking at a total career change and have made steps to make myself more employable when the next intake comes along in the field which hopefully will be very soon. its a log shot but getting off your arse and making small steps is a start!

also im looking at a play B if the above doesnt work out 😉

the plans are the only thing keeping me going, i really have tried the "dont stress about it, work to live not live to work" but it is easier said than done.

i also set myself a target to be doing something i like work wise before im 40, i have 6 years left to achieve that, and i will!

    best of luck

    oh.. +2

Unless you are working for yourself then there is no point in stressing.

ive been seriously tempted by a few Cat D on autotrader, there was a 3 year old golf GTI on there a while back, full leather, xenons, sat nav the full monty 8k but was a Cat D. but being the car it is i guess its the worst kind to go for.

i guess end of the day you will always have that niggle in the back of your mind wondering "what actually happened"?

oh with regards 'french are cars are crap bollox', i have to agree with coffeking and tonyg203, ive had a saxo P reg and a pug 306 T reg, the only major thing with the pug was the brake lines needed renewing it is still going a bloke in work still has it and even took it to germany and back and it was fine. the saxo is also still going around 110k on the clock 1.1 engine, only major thing with that was a new battery and belts!

there was a classic thread on mtb-wales.com years ago, a bloke left afan in a hurry with his mate, about 5k worth of bike on the back, didnt do the straps up 'properly' and both fell off on the M4 on the way home.

how a major accident didn't happen was a miracle, suffice to say the bikes were wrecked.

they way he described the fear of looking in the rear mirror and seeing the bikes bouncing down the road behind him was amazing.

if i was ever selfish enough to do it i would set the lazer up in work, pick a nice bit of 316L stainless, set up a nice doodle on Radan, drink a bottle of JD, lay down on the bed wearing a mankeni and my motorbike boots and then wait for the lazer to warm up kick in then draw nice pattern all over my body… not exactly a quick death but i bet i'd be the first go in such a way.. 😉

bloke in work was on statins for a while he gave them up as they were messing with his head, out of breath, just didnt feel right and did nothing to bring his figures down.

about a month after taking them he had a mild stroke in work!

he was fit for his age 62 and ate well and was not overweight.

he is convinced the statins were a contributing factor in the stroke.

    just his view

    this…

    why?

mrs lost her job and had to cut corners, got rid of my car and bought the bike wish i'd done it years ago!

cannot believe the money we have saved using this to get to work, £15 tax, £11 to fill up, £92 fully comp insurance.

just mastering the art of filtering which is fun!

wondered when your type would appear… 😉

It's entertainment. And I can't see why anyone above 8 years of age might take it seriously enough to call it 'bollox' or 'sh1te'

indeed, i am well aware it is entertainment for the masses, but it cracks me up a tosser is making loads of cash taking the piss 😉

what a load of f*cking bolox!!

    but we all knew that.

1 – Why didnt he show us HIS final calcs?

2 – Why didn't he show us the balls he put into the tube?

3 – The big one (as joeydeacon points out above) why all the shitty suspense on the live show, just put the predicted balls on full view on the stand before the lottery started

its the same as all the tits that watch that 'most haunted' sh*Te and believe it

no regrets here, had a marin rock springs, stumpy, anthem, now got a P7.

i was just sick of the fekin about with shock pressures, shock and suspension bearings/bushes going all the time. going on a muddy ride and the bike becoming 10 times heavier.

most of our gang have full suss and i can ride most of the trails they ride on but im shit downhill anyway and a serious mincer

major factor i dont miss is the weight on the hills

the only downside to a hardtail is your arse does get a battering after 4 hours + and it would be nice to sit it on bouncy back end

    waihiboy

its all a load of bollox really isn't it…

later tonight he is going to explain how he did it AND how we can ALL do it.

the only way i can see that they did it is the split screen trickery, but thats not his style is it really.

    great thread…

The bit where they're all doing the blood test with the hot wire. Jeez I get the creeps every time I see it.

i was about to type that!

im glad im old enough to remember what films were like before CGI came along 😉

they don't make em like that anymore, yeah ive got rose tinted specs but you know what i mean.

i must have watched it a million times on DVD, i love the bit at the end where its just the two of them left and they are eyeing each other up (not in that way!)

Out of interest waihiboy… why does cutting out bread make a differenc when you still eat pasta? Still the basic same ingredients isn't it???

when i say i eat pasta, i only have it about once a week, i normally have rice everyday in work or salad, i used to have sandwiches every day.

everyone is different, what works ofr one won't work for another. yeah the science is there but it doesnt answer everything.

i have a mate who eats crap (takeaways atleast 3 times a week) and never does any exercise and he is thin as a rake!

all mine have been said above.

    The thing
    Event horizon
The Blair witch (first time i saw it i thought it was sh*t but then the second time it just stuck in your head and creeps you out)

Wolf Creek – another head wrecker, not all out blood n guts but sticks in your head

Salems lot – my cousin was 17 and put this on for me (i was 11) telling me it was a film about lost kids. I sat through it crying, he wouldnt make me lave the room, i had nightmares for years after!

The Ring – the only horror film that has made me reeeeeeally jump, the bit where she comes out the TV!!

28 Days later – another classic, the little bits that freak you out, london streets empty and he motorway blocked off, they way it was shot was great.

havent read any of the above but i wanted to loose some weight, hit 14 stone 2 months ago for the first time ever.

gave up the following and nearly back to 13 stone.

1 – bread in the week, nomore sandwiches in work, just have rice, pasta and salad

2 – cut down the beer massively and now if i do drink have vodka and tonic

3 – cut out red meat, just happened, started eating loads more chicken and fish and this seems to have helped.

4 – drinks loads more water

5 – crisps and chocolate, just have nuts and crackers.

(the above was very hard at first but soon as you see the weight start to come off you get more into it)

havent really done more exercise apart from the usual 2 rides a week (most of the time)

did my CBT nearly a year ago.

best thing i ever did (getting a motorbike)

i have no intention of dong my DAS, 1 – because i could never afford £500 odd quid and 2 – i only use the bike for commuting as its hell of alot cheaper than running a car.

i thought i'd get the bike buzz but i havent really, i'll just do the CBT again in a years time.

[quoteFrankie Boyle is the highlight of the show… However, I saw him do stand up and didn't find him funny – it just seemed too scripted. Whereas on Mock The Week his off the cuff stuff is hilarious.[/quote]

i agree, i saw him live and his stand up routine is basically everything he says in mock the week..

    still a funny guy though!

his delivery is very scripted, if you want madness check out 'ross noble' who is a genius!
