Type 1 is only around 10% of diabetes so with type 2 increasing at current rates it’ not going to worry the pharma industry.

^This, it’s a major growth market with the increase in obesity rates.

Also, even if they “cure” and rebuild the pancreas cells won’t it just mean being on immunosuppressants to stop the body attacking the pancreas again?

Same reasoning that keeping your phone in your pocket rather than a manbag can decreace your sperm count by a half.

Have you got any proper, not wiki, links to that?

    McDonalds’ on two (emergency) occasions

Unless it was for a McShit I fail to see how it could be an “emergency”?

World War Z by Max Brooks

Finally getting round to reading this and it’s highly enjoyable. Forget about the film, this is a series of interviews with “survivors” of the war against the infected. I’m about a third of the way through, it does paint an all too realistic picture of political failure.

Someone better do something or we will have a con/ ukip coalition after the next election, which quite frankly would be the end days for the UK

I think you’ll find that the “Yes” voters in Scotland are preying for this to happen.

    That’s a good price.

Did you also buy Microsoft Office?

I might get one as a back up for my PC.

I have spare licenses for office365 (from work) so that’ll be going on it.
It’s just been delivered so I’ll be removing all the installed apps bloatware later..

I’ve just bought the Mrs this Lenovo for her OU course which starts soon. Only £300 and there’s an offer on for £50 cashback.

Pretty decent spec and plenty powerful enough, it does have windows 8 though if that bothers you?

A new frame would have to match seatpost/front mech/new cables etc so could end up costing more than I want to spend

Was your cracked frame a 26″ version?? If you’ve accepted a 27.5 then that’ll be new fork/wheels etc?

Contact Microsoft. If its all legit then they can be pretty helpful.

This, in fact phone them – they are usually pretty good about this sort of thing.

So Ben are the journalists lying?

More like lazy journalism I’d have thought? All based on rumour.

NO. Car must already be insured.

^This, not worth the risk as APR cameras will generally catch an uninsured vehicle.

Either way, it’s not what the UK needs at a time of such economic delicacy… we need some certainty and reason to be confident about the future… Salmond is making it worse for the whole of the UK, and very few of us voted for him or can vote him out…
    Well said.

but I have always thought my vote counts

The only time I’ve felt my voted counted was at Scottish Parliament elections due to the element of PR. My first ever vote in a general election was in a constituency where the incumbent’s majority was bigger than all the other votes put together.

Glad he’s finally getting a second chance to live off his glory, and doesnt appear to bitter that most the cycling world treated him as a pariah for the last 20 years

+1 to that, watching the Armstrong Lie was an eye opener as to just how bad he was treated. A thoroughly decent man.

What’s Greggs got to do with anything

Slagging off roadies means that you’re a fat Mountain biker who eats at Greggs -at least I think that’s what is being implied.

I’m still using an IPad1 (waiting for the new Google tablet to come out to replace it).

so would I be daft spending more than £100 on a 64gb version 1 off eBay?

Yes, the browser will crash randomly and it’s quite slow in general when surfing. It will work fine for using as a diary but is that worth £100+?

    I’ve always fancied getting Journey[/url] – it’s priced £9.99.
