I've had a RLJ almost crash into the back of me because I had the audacity to stop at a red light, the idiot actually muttered under his breath as he went past…
Blackdog – I commute on Pollokshaws road and there are loads of redlight jumpers. It gets annoying when you have to constantly overtake them so I can understand your point.
I'd avoid France, bunch of us went to Les Arcs this year – the prices for food drink drink are crazy. January will be quiet in most places so you don't need to really look for a quiet resort.
Just getting into it myself, only signed up to get the tweets of the TDF riders but slowly becoming addicted. Seems a great way to post a pic and a few words about your most recent ride.
I have the 9503, easy to fit but as chimpymcchimp says you will need a few bits of pipe lagging to stop the bikes rubbing when you have 3 on it. For the money it's hard to beat.
I was up to 2am last night on this, not going near it again. So easy to lose all track of time. 99.9% is nonsense but if you stick with it you get a few decent conversations.
– I know all about your recent success from reading about it. I was just playing the extreme devils advocate based on your first post which you have now explained further. No offence intended!
mastiles_fanylion – by that respect should the NHS pay for IVF treatment for infertile couples if there is a chance that the subsequent offspring may be infertile???
They claim some customers asked if they could be issued with the ticket rather than a refund. Seems like a genius idea dreamed up by someone in the company.
I was 10 weeks off the bike with mine as it set at an awkward angle, I broke the collar bone on the other side previously and was back to normal after 6 weeks.
My Meta is no lightweight (it’s built up to c32lbs) but it still climbs like a goat, as Druidh says what exactly is bad about it with respect to climbing??
To the OP – get one, at that price it’s a total bargain.
As others have said singlespeed the old frame you have, I done that to my old bike and I commute a similar distance. I run a 44×16 ratio as it fairly flat but with a few steep, short hills that I get out the saddle for. Also get mudguards, lights and a comfy rucksac.
